Look how clean and unrusty those are! I was thinking the same! I remember when ours looked like that... That fibreglass repair is behind the heater panel - a common rot spot. If its not getting worse I'd forget you ever found it for the time being...

The horn on my Herald stopped working, after all the usual checks i disconnected the high tone and found the low tone would then work. I tried the high tone on the low tones wiring but it would not work, i then drilled out the rivets holding it all together, found a contact inside (a bit like a points contact) gave it a clean with some wet and dry riveted it back together. I put it back on the car and they both now work!

cheers, I'll try that then graham.
Lol, benzboy, I had the same feeling when I went to look under after first buying it, but was met with a pleasent surprise.
Plan is at the moment to spray all the inside floor pan, bulk head, gear box tunnel etc in black, then just cut some blue house carpet to sit in the bottom of the foot wells.

It's good to see more classics on the road nonetheless.

lol, yeah the engine accessibility is very good.
Does anybody know how the box thing that the heater pipes come from above the gearbox tunnel reattaches? It just unscrewed to come off, but I took it off to get to the gearbox tunnel to repair it now I can't get it back on...

That's a great painting, how much would you charge to do one of my next car?
|

There is no such thing as a curse word car just overstretched expectations................. Herald 10/10 Gasser 10/10 Total score 20/10

That was an A level art piece, don't really have the time this year to do paintings for other people. However next year I will have free time so could possibly do so then. No idea how much I'd charge though. I mean that one of my Herald cost about £35 just in materials, then it took about 26 hours to complete.
