Hi guys.. sorry been off the forum for a while thanks to life, weddings, women and work.. anyway I'm back and i'll be there, cheers for the heads up Bruce. Hoping to make Friday night as well but unsure so far. Either way if weather is favourable Friday day I'll be braving the cold and collecting us a few fresh scallops  Ben if your availiable and Bruce has room we could ship out some of that scooter, hopefully bringing a couple of small pressies for area52 too.. See you all then (unfeasably excited!) Can certainly grab at least some of the scooter.. Will sort it with you via PM  |

Mentioned I was having steak on Saturday night ... Jo then piped up she wanted some! Hopefully there wont be any objections if the woman comes down for a drink and some steak in the evening? She wants to see what goes on at the unit! So if we can arrange for at least a few of us to be oiled up and dancing to europop in Mankini's thats going to really mess with her head. Clare won't be heading down there until half five or so...there's a lift there so I'll be seen beer in hand come downing tools time ;D Can't stay at the unit on Saturday as the house is ours this weekend. I tried to convince her that restless kip in a car surrounded by beered up boys was totally preferrable but the lure of a bed and a radiator to curl up against was too much. However, Saturday and Sunday participation are my only plans this weekend ;D See you all Saturday morgs |

Oh, a request as well if no one minds me posting one up on here?
Any chance anyone coming this weekend has a boost guage [make and model not important...as long as it works] some hose and a t piece they could bring along so I can t piece it into my new motor to check boost before getting busy with the allen key and tuning up the turbo and fuel pump? Only a loan obvioulsy as I'll have to get around to buying something and fitting it more permanantly as time goes by, but for a short term tweak this weekend a lend would be great.
Answers on a postcard to what I've bought, but I'll give you a clue...potential 18psi at 45mpg ;D

Looks like this weekend I'm going to be using all of Bristols supply of WD40 and then still be swearing at seized brake adjusters. On a similar thought if anyones got a dehumidifier please bring it so I can dry my under floor mat insulation aka sponge before it rots away.

Ok all.. scallops 'may' be back on but we will see, I'll be down friday eve if thats cool and all day sat but cant stay sat night as we have friends over  Oh and is GTVSaviour confirmed or not as I have something for him.. Oh and i'll be bringing Phils boost guage and a couple of bits for A52/Bruce if I can pin down a time to collect them.. Looking forward to it and see you all there. ;D |

Chicks down at the unit - EPIC! Morgs & James, we're gonna have to get some pics of Clare & Jo welding etc.... Matt, thanks for sorting the cow out - that's a lot of meat to order LOL. Looking forward to it though....chip run looks like a must. Remind me to put vinegar, salt and lots of tommy K on the shopping list Does anyone have a laptop they can bring? John is bringing some PP slideshows along with him so if anyone has a laptop with Powerpoint on it, please consider bringing it along. I'd bring my laptop except it doesn't have the software! Lastly (for now!) if anyone is interested in buying John's book on Fibreglassing (as a kind of follow-up to the day) then he is bringing copies of it along. A good way to expand your skills and also support the car building community ;D I'll certainly be buying a copy. BASIC DETAILS HERE. He wasn't going to bring any (I think he's a bit self conscious about it looking like he's pushing sales) but I insisted he did because I know some of you would really like it. Starting to get excited now! |

Kick off on Saturday is 9.30am with the fibreglassing workshop starting around 10.00-10.15am giving a good 30 mins for people to have a cuppa etc....
As Ben has said, we'll be there Friday night so if you are able to make it over then you're more than welcome ;D
