didn't get anywhere near as much work done on the victor as i'd hope at the weekend due stacking my bike and putting my right hand and left little finger out of action (again) but i did get a couple of bits done couple of weeks rest should let the tendons and muscles in my hands heel a bit and i'll be back on it again steering wheel is now done bar a bit of polish and gives a hint to the colour the car is going and i made a start on the custom bumpers for the car not sure what they came from but i had to remove about 4" from the middle and reshape the sides to get the front to fit just need a set of brackets now and then i'll get onto the rear one them look into getting the rechromed

Love this. Half thinking about what my W123 estate might look like with the two door treatment

Awesome car Mark, love the direction this car is going. I've got an FB wagon myself, going for a lowrider theme with mine, screen visor, lakes pipes, painted steels, lowered that sort of thing. Just wondering what your doing with the old bumpers and axles on your car. Mine needs new bumpers and I quite fancy 5 stud wheels for mine. If your interested in selling the parts, please drop me a message.

been off work for 3 weeks now due to damaged tendons in my right hand so not been able to do much what I have been doing is lots of measuring and making plans for the victor the volvo t5 motor I wanted to fit is just going to be to impractical to fit due to needing box from one car engine from another issues with steering and cross members ect ect plus the one part I thought id get away with not modifying will need to be modded anyway (the whole reason for not going with a V8 engine in the first place) so as that part was going to need doing anyway I thought why not just go back to the original plan in the first place and after some measuring its a way more viable option . While measuring I have found some more rot so next few days will see some pretty drastic changes provided my hand is up to it . sat one of these under it while I was doing some of the measuring they are for my consul but never hurts to see what they look like on it

right back in the workshop today and got a good bit done . started off with a bit of a strip down to a: see how bad the rot was and be remove some of the parts that are not going to be used . only stripped the front down and removed the rear axle to begin with but there will be much more coming out yet once some new materials arrive . all off the front suspension will be replaced. its been changed about so much over the years with bit cut out and other bits added and is seriously suffering for it. mixed with its age its just not viable to use any of it one inner wing out never liked the shape of them anyway and again they have had so many bits cut out over the years it would have just ended up being a patchwork quilt so new ones will be made at a later date. other one out ugly mess of front frame removed cut what was left of the brace boxes on the inner wings these were hiding a fair bit of rot passenger side was not as bad but still a fair bit that needs replacing concentrating on the drivers side today paint stripped back revealed the extent of the rot start of the A pillar weldathon ;D new brace as part of the support for the new inner wing i have decided to add a little more strength and added a box section into it which will allow me to add the new inner wing once the the front frame is made and the rest of the A pillar welded up and outer part of the brace box made finished off today by making up the first bit for the new bulkhead back panel will hopefully finish off the main fabrication of the bulk head tomorrow

Wow. Much changed! Bit of a relief to have such a blank canvas now after seeing the front A-arm angles once lowered to the height you wanted!

got the passenger side a pillar mostly there now repaired the top part and replaced the wing brace excuse the paint its really only there as as that part will be almost impossible get paint in once its fully done so i sprayed some zinc primer and then a bit of black over the hardest bits to get to just so it helps keep it from rotting and so there is some dark colour up in the corners makes it easier when it comes to paint it brace replaced same as the drivers side this has a length of box section running through it which will be part of the new inner wing mount and adds an extra bit of strength to the front ran out of inch box to temporarily brace the shell for when i remove the floor but just about had enough to make a door frame brace . should have a delivery of steel to make the rest of the temporary braces for the shell the chassis and chassis bed soon so i can then get cracking making the new inner sills floor and mounting points
