Due to my OCD I'm putting the Seven up for sale again this time ive found its replacement already! Its a 1983 735iSE with Tax till July 2010 and MOT till June 2010 Being the SE model it is fully loaded with electric everything, aircon and stuff like headlamp washwipe, rear sunblind, cruise etc Since ownership I have fitted a new Varta Battery ( 3 year guarantee ) new viscous coupling and new bonnet rams ( they were bloody expensive! ) At the moment I am using the car as my daily and covering 80ish miles a day with absolutely no dramas at all! I have lowered the car mildly which improves the look no end The car has a huge history file and has had a decent amount spent on it over the last 18 months Retro Alpine stereo system It has the full toolkit in the boot too! All parts for these are readily available from BMW and most Europarts type places Insurance is cheap too.....I insure this on a classic policy for £115 Fully comp Pricewise I feel that SOLD is reasonable and you will probably find that its the only E23 for sale in the Uk at the moment! Have a bump from me Si.
This is a really clean E23. It's as old as I am!
Si knows his stuff when it comes to old Bimmers. The farbe is spot on for this car and would complement a cord jacket nicely. The inevitable Skyway audio install will be period perfect and excellent to the ear as well.
Further points must also be added for the assortment of Aviators strewn around the dashboard, H.B. Halicki style.
Best of luck with the sale. What the hell have you b[r]ought to replace it?

Can't stop looking at this thread! Trying to control a desire to offer you money (or maybe my Passat Estate) for it! Can I ask if all the electrics work and what state the drivers seat is in? Also, how do you find it on petrol?

To answer the previous question..... Yes, pretty much all of the electrics work....windows, sunroof, seats, mirrors, headlamp wipers, Ciggy lighters, Check panel.......the OBC has gone out today but I reckon its just a fuse.....ill investigate Saturday The drivers seat base is good but the bolster does have wear to it ( the car is 27 years old after all ) The passenger and rear seats are like new I will accept offers on the car but no swaps thanks......unless you have an M1 to swap? ;D MPG-wise its actually not bad.....I don't drive like an idiot and on a run to London ive seen over 30mpg from it |

I was a passenger in this lovely motor on a 150 odd mile round trip 2 weekends ago and it didn't miss a beat.

This is now sold......in fact its sold back to the guy I bought it from in the first place!!!!
So thanks for all the messages and I always love to have a chuckle at the messages that say
'I'd buy this if.....I hadnt just bought a new Car, House, Thai bride, Hamster, Mars bar, Penny Farthing' etc.....and the ones that say 'I'd have this if.....you werent 7 miles away, I had passed my test, it wasnt a tuesday, was in aubergine metallic, had a smaller engine, had just won the lottery' etc!!!
