so, i don't update this thread as much as i should but this is the currnet state of play. hood lining has been re-covered in black foam backed cloth type stuff and looks very good. the radiator over flow bottle and windscreen washer bottles have been installed and function perfectly. also, i continue to drive this car every day and have done at least one massive burnout in the carpark at work (the carpark is very large and I'm kind of a big deal there so i can get away with this sort of curse word) which resulted in a complete lack of use of the windscreen, in that i couldn't see out of it. you werent there and cant have seen but I'm going to give myself a 8.5 out of 10. nothing else to report except UZ powered 28's are curse word sweet. and you should build one starting now. a very, perhaps overly, smug, sheepers.

ok so heaps has happened with this car. firstly ive installed a Link G4 ECU and tuned it which netted 164KW. the thing runs like a dream!! does everything better than factory and pulls like curse word all the time! then i did a track day in it. it has so much grip and its so planted that it will easily beat my blue car on the same track. super happy with the rear suspension. these are the only pics i could find so far. sheepers.

Love your car, very cool, I would of got 1 if I couldn't find my Manta. I've got a thing about twin head lights, frameless doors and the couple shape. Impressive work, hope to see it some day.

I'm making a manifold for it now, i will have it running before crissy. sheepers.

i been madeing some stuff. (i fully appreciate that the word "madeing" does not exist. i also understand that if it did it would not have an e in it, however i made it up so ill put whatever letter i bloody well like in it) and it looks a little something like this, panels for the rear/boot/trunk area back bit. the bits i did have were buggered and the parts that weren't buggered didn't fit so i made some new bits. this houses the battery, jack, and tools. it unbolts to allow access to the jack and watnot. dis is the tail light cover. i was going to make a new false floor which would have covered the space saver spare wheel (original GTR one that fits over the brakes) and looked very much like stock celica but i decided it would be better just to carpet the floor, make a cover for the tyre, and have the extra space in the back. after all, this is my daily driver and i use it for tasks such as taking my MS51 driveshaft to be modified, picking up the W50 i bought, going away with the wife for the weekend camping, etc. more space is good. tomorrow I'm taking the panels to the upholsterer to get them covered with carpet. its heaps quieter now, which is a good thing, and its tidied up the last bit of the interior that looked rubbish. oh and also i bought this, its a piper cross air filter. it feeds cold air in from where the headlight used to be. i can make this legal but I'm trying to fit a small headlight somehow that wont restrict the air flow to much. sheepers.

Hey mate, this looks incredible! Love it.
Just curious, how did you go about getting the GTR subframe certified? How difficult was it?
