I`ve had m/bike sized letters on an undersized plate on the front of my Mini for the last 10 years with no probs (got an even smaller one for "show" use). It is illegal but a couple of plods have seen it and said as the font was correct they wouldn`t bother nicking me for it. BTW, some J imports are allowed to use bike sized fonts legally as they can`t fit a standard sized plate in the recess

Yank cars are also allowed to run bike sized plates, same reason.
I'm not into slogans on plates or fancy italics and borders. I can always find something better to spend money on. Problem is those whacky slogans are funny for about 2 minutes, maximum.
I own one car bumper sticker, I have not fitted it to anything, I thought it was funnyy at the time I gave £1.25 for it.
