Let's talk about Grizz... Rian gave me as much tea as I could handle when I dropped some seats off to him and then showed me his garage and trailer project and was all in all, the perfect host. A flying visit turned in to a really nice couple of hours.
I also get occasional random inappropriate text jokes from him that never fail to make me grin. All in all, he's a top, friendly fella and what this site is all about for me.

Porsche 924 - gone Citroen Saxo VTR - not very retro but I loved it - now gone... MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T - gone but hardly remembered... Mini Cooper S R53 - gone BMW 125d Coupe - gone (mostly sideways)
Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have

I delivered some bits for Graham100e, on a journey I was doing anyway. He sorted out an engine for me that was just up the road.
All that changed hands was a mug of tea and some banter. Perfect!

I'm gonna add to the KFW appreciation here.
Having spotted that i was after some slots for my dodge he selflessly bought a set without even seeing if i deffo wanted them and has stored them for me until i can get over. That is class. Top man.
Thats just one instance of RR help ive had (and hopefully given a bit back myself too, i try and help if i can)
RR is the best, simples!

More KFW appreciation here, as he found a late panda and removed all the gearbox bits for me and kept them for me to collect. Also appreciation of AlexG for lugging a load of Toledo bits up to the NEC Classic Car Show. Many thanks mate

Dean and I were discussing KFW just the other night. We reckon he's R-R's "Secret Millionaire" who is on a mission to use his wealth for the good of reto kind, not by writing cheques at the end of some dappy reality TV show but by provinding a free transportation service for the empoverished masses.
Either that or he has commited some heinous crime and can never go home, his destiny is now to roam from place to place in search of salvation - and while he's at it as a penance to deliver old tyres, wheels, airboxes and the like.

If you are ever north of Manchester Kev you are welcome to stop by and load an enormous quantity of tat to redistribute to the RR masses. Is goin' slowly on the bay but I'm seriously tempted to just trash the lot.

Let's talk Old Bus... There simply is no one better on the planet than Old Bus. Not me. Not you. Not anyone. Old Bus. He is the sensei master. He is the chosen one. He is he whose name cannot be spoken aloud. Today, for example... What lies upon my doorstop? A new factory (1972 - ! - Ford Motorsports p/n label still attached) front air dam for a Cologne Capri. No, not some street RS2600 part you could wang out of a catalog. This is from the Werkes wide body kit. A missing piece for my collection of original factory race team samples. And it's new, never been sullied by use in combat. Sidebar: Team Blitz owns the moulds (the ACTUAL ETCC Ford Capri werkes team moulds for the fender kit for both 1971-72 and the 1973-74 flare styles - long story how we got them). Because of OB, we now have a sample of the matching 71-72 front dam, like Jochen Mass had on his werkes RS. (Boner time.) And then a little while later along comes Mr. DHL with a gen-u-wine perfect RS3100 wheel from Berlin. Thanks again to Old Bus, the master of faster. (Schwing!) He is more than amazing. And more than nice. He is bad, bad, bad. He's nationwide. Make that, worldwide!

There have been several members who have done things for me, somewhat:
KFW - went and got a Piazza interior for me from Lichfield.
Reanimation - Putting up with me, every meet \ outing etc.
TB - storing a very unusual Piazza ANSA backbox for me (which I'm keeping, sorry Dave).
Paul H - Went and collected a dismantled B18 for me and stored it at his house for TIME.
Grizz - Sorted many, many, many Serf Ahfrikaan plates for me after Royal Fail absconded with my goods.
Hairnet - for posting in his inimitable car crash style, and for sorting out parts for the C4 very cheap. Also, for bulbs.
There are probably a few more but I've had too much Tribute and need to sleep. FACT.

Put me down as another member of the "kevfromwales appreciation society" (TM) ;D Top bloke, he managed to bring a car part-way to me to save me doing a full North-East / Wales / North-East run with a trailer to collect it (he even managed to fill it with loads of interesting / spare bits) mucho gracias amigo (still trying to persuade DVLA & GPO to send me the updated log book for it tho' )

While we're on with the back slapping and butt kissing, I'd like to say my thanks to the Nightmares, Mark in particular. I have been helped with car issues on numerous occasions, and despite me being a bit anti-social, they always welcome me. I have had free/cheap parts from all over, Pandaselecta, Rod, KFW, EvilGed, and probably a few more. RR rules! Have a random picture...

Here is a photo of that rare breed of Homosapien, the Kev. Allegedly its natural habitat is the coastal regions of north Wales but can be spotted in almost any other part of the country. Attracted like a magpie to shiny things it also suffers from a self diagnosed addiction to old rusty things that other people have given up on. It can be seen here, getting soaked to the skin in weather typical of the peak district while still wearing a smile and talking in a not very Welsh accent. In sunnier southern climes the addiction does not recede and the underneaths of cars are still the primary interest. Sustenance is of course required and nothing has found to be more desired by the Kev than a cup of tea. (Please disregard the other member of the cake eating fraternity known as the Akku) Should you ever happen to see the Kev in the wild you are advised to approach with caution lest you too get afflicted with his addictions. You have been warned.
