Took the 309 off the road in February for an axle rebuild and bought a very cheap and in every way much better 106 as a run around. Sold the 106 again at the start of May, on the same day I got the 309 back on the road. Bought the GS near the end of May. Current status: GS in winter storage, 309 broken.

Tbh I can barely remember this years motoring... (I THINK) it went like this: January to April: April to June: July: August: About a week of September: Then back to the estelle... Then a week or two in October: Then some more: November: With a few days of this: Then a bit more Orange in December, and then: (stock photo, don't even have a pic of it!) and now, back to: which now actually runs on the Weber I started fitting in April.

Well this year started on a down note; My parking space was filled by this: It was rusty but reliable, bought to replace my HDi which I tipped onto it's roof just before christmas 2008. This was soon traded in against this: It speaks volumes about the dullness of the car as this is the only pic I have of it! In June, I bought this pile of curse word outside of ebay, from Boston, 16 miles from here. The seller didn't tell me the exhaust was missing its only silencer... oops! That was soon followed by a donor car for the smurf, so early July, and with a filthy hangover, I get a ride down to Evesham to collect this; a Cat C saxo that still drives and for £200. Noice Last week I bought this, and I sold it on today: The parking space looks like this: The xantia is still about, but I'm hoping to mothball it and get a 4x4 fairly soon.

I'll do me and An fear o dhoire sure. Right well I started with nothing, he started with everything but the Ka (Picture was taken last year sshhh): Then not much for a while except getting the Capri indoors and a good picture of it (if I do say so myself) Then came July, a cheap X-Pack Capri arrived: Also in July came my first car, seen here with a picture of the Scirocco: Well both those cars are gone now. I have a Rapid, got it in November, no pictures yet but tomorrow night/ Tuesday they will be here along with a thread, maybe then I'll do some work. ;D Need a job next.

Jan - May: I drove my ever faithfull E30 318is on my 110mile commute a day fully stripped out and with a welded diff The lack of interior and only 30mpg persuaded me to get this instead, Passat 1.9TD Meanwhile on the projects front I bought this, E21 323i The E21 wasn't ready for the summer so I bought, swapped the engine and modified this on short notice That broke and I was left with the Passat from August - December. Inevitable itchy fingers set in so I've just bagged an E32 735i

Mine, or rather my parent's.. Isn't very interesting or retro. But as I recently found these pics, here they are. Start of the year, 04 Grand Voyager. Good car until the steering and gearbox started playing up (4 speed auto column change FTW!) Bought this around August-ish. 02 Merc S-class 320CDi Limosine. Very cheap for the amount of car. Has EVERYTHING. It'll probably stay like that until I get my first car in about 18 months.

I started the year with these; Just sold the Skyline! Gave in to my younger brother & let him have the Clubman & then bought this; Smoked about in the Pug till a mate of my younger brother pestered me to sell it to him! Then along came the Brat! A couple more were purchased for "spares"; Then totally stripped!; Other un's still semi complete! And i still got this tucked away in the garage, its a work in progress for my little girl Molly,i bought it when she was born & it will be her 1st car when she starts driving(she is nearly 4 yrs old now!!)

The year started out with me coming over all sensible, and selling my Scirocco, and driving a 2001 Passat daily, which was frugal and dependable, but boring! Then I went back to a retro daily, in the shape of my Golf Convertible, which was relatively frugal, even more dependable, and great fun! Then in May I found out I was going to be a daddy for the first time, so to celebrate I bought a broken BMW! I fixed it up, got an MOT on it, ran it for a few weeks, and then got bored. A mate offered me a deal on his Leon, so I bought this: Then the wife sold her fun but impractical modern Mini and needed a daily, so the Seat went to her, and I bought this as a non runner off ebay: Did a bit of this: and it's still providing dependable daily duties now. However I have a mate with a CBR 600 who needs a cheap daily driver, and I've got a lead on an E34 5 series, so there might be another addition before the year is out!
