Hi guysn'gals Still on the lookout for some RR to play with. I see everyday an old Volvo 245 or 265, pretty rough one, but wiz potential and i've been daydreaming about chopping it three slices, get rid of the rear door part and join the front and the back part to make up a Volvo 263....oooh ;D would look like this(sorry, found on flicker so link only) www.flickr.com/photos/littlepixel/4061913581/But I found this! Genuine 263 Prototype sitting at the Volvo Museum and a cheeky one: Can't see the point of it really, but I am curious of how it was done.

The blue one... The story goes that 30-odd of these were built for the Estonian market in the mid-nineties (it's a late-eighties model, but it took a while for Western cars to arrive in Estonia) for use by the police - contradictory stories suggest that it was simply a factory cock-up, though this is pretty unlikely. Could all be urban mythery. See also this asymmetric E30 - sucksqueezebangblow-juice.blogspot.com/2009/03/asymmetric-woodie.html

I heard that the last blue saloon was a batch built for ferrying old grannies round who needed the extra big door to get in and out or something.

Chevy V8 are a pretty common conversion in Norway and Sweden. You even get them trouh the SVA/MOT (we don't have SVA in Norway, so it is hell to get modified cars OK'ed by the gouverment) if you keep power below 220 hp and use "diesel springs"

Just forgetting the whole IVA headaches for a minute, please someone do it.....it would just be AWESOME!!! ^^ WHS Preferably someone with a bit of land-you can charge people to come round and have a go in it. One of the early V8 240 conversions was built for Paul Newman wasn't it? It was actually a 960, and it was also supercharged. Still very cool though. (and if it fits in a 900, it should go in a 200 too). Wheelspin in 5th with a wardrobe in the back
