Given that Antero just isn't the type for updating his project thread and having just watched Yoeddnyz's rotary start-up video I thought I'd share this one: The car has been standing in that same spot in a very very cold winter, and this is its first start-up after that. The welding is now finished, and Antero is waiting for his front fenders to come back for the painter before he can go to the inspection. Luckily there's no emissions test for old rotary engines

The RX-4 has now been on the road for a couple of months. Antero's been having a couple of small problems but overall its been working surprisingly well. He will read this and must be convinced into posting some pictures of how lovely it looks now. I'm travelling to RRG by airplane and rental car today, but luckily I'll get a ride in this to the aiport

antero: I'd happily help you cut out the floor of the Volvo under the rear seat, sitting there it should line up straight with the gearbox, shouldn't it?

Glad to see it was running.... even if it needs further work. I have no idea why my picture links wont work? Might be the length of the pictures address. Shorten with "Tinyurl" or similar?

Yeah good seeing it run at least. The chrome peel you have is better than some I have seen on other peoples engine strip down. Its amazing how much they can get away with and still run. Miine has a certain amount of peel in the housings plus some big scrape marks just before the exhaust port. But it was a cheap engine and will remain that way! I'll just see how long it lasts. ;D
