I just thought you should know that I've had a terrible day, and considered quitting my job more than once since I woke up this morning, but then I found this thread, listened to the videos and now I'm giggling like a loon.
What a spectacular car!

If it doesn't work you could also try some bonnet raisers, might help...

Good luck this weekend, hope the heat aint too much. Look forward to pics afterwards.
Btw is the fan to encourage hot air out or cool air in?

The good news is, the fan worked perfectly (no heat soak to the top mount), the bad news, had a couple of poor runs, then Fitted my nitrous bottle, but on the staging line it burst a pipe and dumped it all, then to make things worse this happened

.2 faster than the R32 golf that was running, not to shabby for a big estate car.

Really enjoying this thread! The bonnet incident is bad luck - Gutted - but in a way you're lucky it didn't take out the screen / wipers / roof! I also have a bonnet if your replacement doesn't come through, and hinges etc... I'm in N Yorks by the way.

Blimey mate, but look on the bright side it could of been worse.... i have a small question for you, do you run a progressive controller on your nitrous or a push button to fire it?
