Thanks for the comments. I'm already sorted for grille badges Dikki, so thanks but no. ;D I did the last inner wing repair and got the A panel back on during the week. Just need to get of my ![](http://i25.tinypic.com/2005o2q.jpg) and go and fit the new arch and closing panel...

I wasn't happy with my previous attempt at repairing the boot floor. So I've chopped it off and done it again. ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4132/5022969247_d9450faf9b_b.jpg) It looks like the repair panel hadn't been cut straight. I had to chop about an inch of the passenger side arch joint and add some to the drivers side. ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4130/5022968641_59ddb9edfd_b.jpg) ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4154/5022969951_5a7d0a08d2_b.jpg) ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4154/5023577508_a880b1b0d9_b.jpg) Just got the seem welded and ran out of Gas. BOC obviously think that people don't need gas at the weekend, so no more welding until I get another cylinder during the week (rushing home from work as they close at 5). So I chopped the battery box if. It was too heavy. ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4129/5023580196_8e980a6a02_b.jpg)

Nice work so far. Those bootfloor repair panels really are curse word, I measured one side and it was something like an inch shorter than the other side so I also had to modify one to fit my clubman. Then again they are really cheap and I think it is the only rear repair section available so there's little choice other than a full boot floor. I take that you'll be replacing the full OSR 1/4 panel? Thats a task I've not had to do as yet thankfully. Keep the updates coming.

Got the new drivers side rear quarter ready to be welded on. ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4068/5132187730_8f4c0dc282_b.jpg) ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4087/5132188538_8b3c01190e_b.jpg) One of the Panel gaps leaves a little to be desired. ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4060/5131584493_d1371efda4_b.jpg) Hopefully my new MIG will be here this week and I can get it hot glued on.

My new welder came last week so I got on and stuck the new quarter panel on. ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4063/5158481063_73c89377d1_b.jpg) ![](http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4022/5158481047_d25f9ab0f2_b.jpg) Looks OK at a distance, but I'm not at all happy with the B and C pillars. ![](http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1350/5158481049_2e8a2df7d9_b.jpg) ![](http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1385/5159096564_e6bc081e5d_b.jpg) It's sat 2-3mm into the door shut and is curved out towards the bottom. I think that will be coming off again in favour of a genuine one. I'll make a decision once I've had a go at fitting the different manufacturers pattern quarter to the other side. I spent Sunday learning to weld again and generally tidying up the boot floor repairs/modifications. The new welder is completely different to my old one. I guess not being fooked helps... Just been out and refitted the radius arm to the ream subframe. Hoping to get it back on it's wheels and make a start on the drivers side sills this weekend.

Not half! and at 2.4KG each, very light. I reckon they've taken 20KG's of unsprung weight of the car. some great work going on here just read the whole thread..... you must be a master welder / fabricator by now.... going to be one solid sweet clubman when finished.. Thanks. My welding is improving slowly, nowhere near master though lol. Spending far too much time redoing stuff I'm not happy with. Picked up a pile of new panels this aft. I'm aiming quite high, be good if I can pull it of ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Love the weight saving and those wheels are gorgeous, I'm sick to death of minilites and those make an excellent substitute. Carbon arches will cover them nicely and not add too much weight.

Loads more weight saving to come. Think I'm going for group 2 wide arches. Will have another look when I have tyres on the rims and rear quarters fitted. I miss having a mini on the road, sold my last one to pay for the paint on this one. I have to make do with a 150BHP metro van instead...
