This was a demo car in the Volkswagen show room, the previous owners Sister bought it from new and she passed away and left it to the lady I just bought it off. So 2 Lady owners from new (same family) I am the 3rd. This was only ever used to go to the shops and the golf club a few miles a week and has been garaged most its life. Body work is mint apart from the odd surface rust which is to be expected off a car this age. It really is in great condition for it's age. I don't even want to let this go as I wanted to 20VT it one day, but my G40 has melted a piston and I need funds for that as it comes first being my pride and joy.
I required it because I fell in love with her (ROXY) and I was having running problems on my other polo. It had a bit off a shock when I got it as I do 60 miles a day for work.
The headgasket went, got that fixed, the alternator went, got that fixed and then I had an oil light fail. It flickered one day for one second, so I was going to check that when I get home (I was on the motorway) and home was too late, I lost all power in the fast lane, had to scoot across as it was dead. Popped the hood, checked the oil, none in there what so ever! I knew I had to keep an eye on it with the alternator just being done, but it was only a few days and I had checked it previous. If it was that low I thought the oil light would have been on longer etc or given me more warning, anyway, lesson learned and just my luck with cars to be honest. I got it towed home and then to garage where I was told the engine has seized. I don't know where it is seized, sorry.
I would also like to keep the number plate if possible, but it's not essential.
This means it will cost me £105 to retain it, but the car needs tax for me to do this, already has MOT as you know and then a new number reg gets assigned to the vehicle. We can do this numerous ways, but i'll discuss that with those genuinely interested in purchasing the vehicle
I don't think I have missed anything, but anything you want to know etc please ask away.
Please PM me all offers and I am also not saying no to swaps.
Thanks for looking
