I was going to suggest an isuzu piazza turbo axel as thats what ive fitted to my HB lsd disc brakes anti roll bar but they are like hens teeth to find. i take it by the time ive typed this you would have done the deal on the scimitar one anyway. My mate runs a cossi in his anglia with the standard axel and that takes loads of abuse but i would be like you with the thought in the back of my mind that its going to go pop.

Thank you very much its a dog really tho Nice choice on the Magnum, have a look for Leigh's build thread of his fiat-engined Magnum on here for some ideas My car is running 13x6(poss 7) Weller wheels under the wheeltrims with 185/60 tyres on the front and 205/60's on the rear, ive had to lose a bit of arch lip to clear the tyres on the rear and a bit of front valance for the fronts on full lock which is quite a bit less work compared to what the Vauxhall Sportpart manual says is needed ;D Get a thread up on your car mate, would love to see some pics! Just a quicky chaps. As of today ive confirmed the purchase of a Scimitar axle off of the gent that is CortinaRyan and pick it up sometime after i get paid. Happy would describe how i feel at the moment as this should sort out the last weakpoint in the Viva's drivetrain so that the next phase can begin without fear of the original 1256 axle sh*ting itself when i put some proper power through it ;D Steve

Your 1256 axle's doing well. Or are you just being a bit light footed?
I'll look into making a jig tomorow off my spare 1256. Still want to weld the brackets onto my Scimitar axle even if i never use it.

Went for little ride with the old man over to Bristol to collect this: One Scimitar axle, prop and pair of wheels to roll it about on ;D Thanks go to Cortinaryan and his father for cutting it out of the dead Scimitar for me top chaps! Put the wheels on and chucked in the garage, will be having a proper look at it later but roughly looks to be the right width for the Viva, not quite sure which way to go with the mounting of it yet but will have a ponder over next week. Other than that, the car is still performing well and seeing off plenty of much newer motors ;D but I have noticed a slight issue with oil pressure when stone cold that might need attention but gonna get another pressure switch first to rule that out. Stay tuned Steve
