ah cant believe this is still about. I was originally going to get this but instead passed over the really obscure advert details to Reanimation about 3 years ago. The original owner was really weird! a little inspiration..

COOOOL! My first car was a 1975 Estate... Still got it but standing in a field now... Seeing yours, I realize that my Kadett are in a quite good condition actually... This encourages me to start restoring it again...

Only just caught up with this thread on here! First off, Carmad, no, ideally that Pizza isn't giving up its axle...yet, and won't be if someone nice buys it off Dugong (still for sale) wink wink. Its a fair bit of work, but its a charming wee thing, a bit like the cat off Shrek. Its mostly been locked away (from me a lot of the time) in a string of indoor and outdoor locations while we experienced much drama finding and losing workspaces. With so much absence I was never gonna miss it. Coggers has been Godfather since day one anyway. He's gonna do it proud I know.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

curse word, i chucked my front panel and wings in with the scrap, i should have kept them and given them to you coggers, the paint was fooked from the resin but they didn't have any rust on them

He's putting a Big Block Chevy in it and airride suspension, wait til you see it!! Oh Leigh I thought you were gonna keep that quiet man . The original owner was really weird! Hmm . Some of the 'repairs' I've found would bear that out . . curse word, I chucked my front panel and wings in with the scrap, I should have kept them and given them to you coggers Well before you chuck anything else in the skip , pm me will you ? ;D how's the hatch coming on? Sitting naked in a lockup whilst I try to find a decent painter , then it just needs all the nice shiny stuff put back on it Had a bit more poke at it the last few weeks . cut the front panel off and offered up the new one with my spare wings just to have a look like.. Whipped the nsr window out to make sure the new seal I bought from Germany was correct - it was. But I can see now why most of the nsr/back corner is rotten.. A knackered window rubber + no rubber seal around the fuel tank filler neck = rain straight in and rotting out all the seams Can I get a 'Hooray' for the Bodgers ?! ^^ That is where the nsr light would sit , you can see the hole underneath where the water has just leaked through and rotted the seam out . All covered with a nice skim of filler Chipped all the sound deadening pad things off the floors and it's not actually too bad ,just got a couple of holes to weld up there in the 'normal' Kadett/Chevette places. And I removed the front screen , pretty glad I did as most of the scuttle panel is goosed too - I best crack the welder open .. Oh and if anybody has a spare rubber thingy that goes around the top of the tank filler neck could you pm me please , ta muchly Thanks for your interest guys

Yeah thanks Adam , haven't had any experience of Chev/Kad estates so wasn't sure whether rear window rot was common or not on them tbh.. Few pics from today , was going to fire the welder up but managed to blow the fuse in it . Twice. Drivers side scuttle middle bit.. Passenger side Drivers side middle window , poor pic but it's solid thankfully Passenger side middle window - knackered As previously mentioned , chipped all the soundproof pads off the floor - what a great job that was , wish I could do that for a living .. Offside gone in the normal places Nearside needs a weld too Rear section of floor looks okayish , someone's been here before me though more to come

Would you be interested in a whole scuttle panel ?? How about complete with screen pillars?? Doors?
I still have the red 4dr saloon from bay of E that needs scrapping soon. I was going to cut it out and keep it "just in case" as its in perfect condition, but your needs look to be greater than mine!

Reet then , bit of work done today. The scuttle panel/a pillars were goosed if you recall. So young Foggy was called into action . He had a simple brief. 'Reet Foogy son . Chop this oot and that oot and if you XXXX it up I'll chin ya'So no pressure on young Foggy then .. drivers side got it first Now I'm not normally a nervous chap but I can assure you that me was twitching like a rabbit's nostril at this point . Then the A pillar bit was cut from the scuttle.. Then a bit of a clean up and repeat for t'other side.. I'd recently bought 3.8% worth of Curryracers saloon that he was breaking - sooo plan is to cut that ^^ into three sections ( two pillar pieces and the scuttle ) and weld the blighters in at a later date Oh yeah and Foggy hoiked the scuttle off too.. Actually I'm only kidding about Foggy , he's a panel beater and he certainly knows a lot more than me so I left him to work it out for himself , although I did manage to eat three Penguin biccies and offer some moral support whilst he was cutting .. Yes this is the drivers door , yes the filler is that thick . This door shall be returning as a bean tin sometime in the not too distant future , a better replacement beckons.. In slightly more exciting news a parcel turned up the other day containing Darcy's old suspension. If the estate turns out with a stance like Darcys saloon did I'll be a happy chappy. So I got some loooooooow Mattzel springs , already have an extra coil off the rears . Fair enough , when I fitted my lowered springs to my hatch the back end was up slightly so one coil removed and it sat nice and level. They're a shotblast and paint away from being hunky dory. Nearly new Spax Krypton adjustable thingies for the front and not new in the slightest rear Bilsteins . Bilsteins could perhaps benefit from a lick of paint and some new bushes ( well , any bushes ! ) All for £100 ? Bargainous seeing as I would have paid more than that just for springs alone. Whilst at filthyjohns we shifted obsol33t's Viva HB to the other side of the unit , needs a bit of tlc but a nice little car , great shape to them in my humble opnion. And that was todays adventure but just remember guys and girls when everything is getting on top of you -----------
