I was the same as you. I really wondered what all the fuss was about. Then I bought a Hard drive and added the extra's from Disc 2 which completly changes the game. you really have to play it for a few hours to open up some more cars and tuining possibilities and its like a different game completely. I will have to say I'm not really enjoying the live experiance too much. I was an excellent driver on the Gran turismo series and even Grid, however when I play this online EVERYONE beats me. I've just finished the A-Class championship. Still not loving it. It's all a bit, easy. I have missed the ring from racing games though... I installed disc two straight from the off as well. Ah well, we shall see.

The online racing lobbies are 9 times out of 10 full of people who really know what they're doing, what car for what track, etc.
I tend to stay well away from public lobbies, and play with friends. Occasionally we all go into the public lobbies for drifting. However, we tend to just stay in our own private lobby, and drift/practice without the pressure and annoyance of people constantly tailgating or ramming.

Mods, could we do a sub-board for guys watching cartoon TV cars? Honestly and with respect, this ain't about reality or modding old cars.

It's an aesthetically pleasing illustration of peoples ideas, interests and design abilities. Admittedly there is a fair bit of new stuff sneaking through, but on the whole... Win. Chris

No new boards get opened. even when people wanted one for non car related for sale that didnt happen so don't hold ya breath.... "Readers Other Modifications" would be the appropriate place IMO. Cartoon cars, toy cars, etc etc, all cool. Not the issue. issue is it is taking up space on Page One of the General Board, and ought not to IMO. Obv, the mods' opinions are the ones that count. I posted this with respect and deference, so don't force me to kick yer ass. ;D

Mods, could we do a sub-board for guys watching cartoon TV cars? Honestly and with respect, this ain't about reality or modding old cars. I see where you're coming from. To be fair though: it's only one link out of the 50 on the first 2 pages you have to avoid clicking.. Sure there's no first class fabbing or tidy welding going on, but people put a lot of time and effort into getting cars on racing simulators just right. Nothing wrong with wanting to share that with your fellow petrolhead imo. People are sticking largely to what would be considered Retro cars on here if they were real, so it's not exactly off topic enough (imo) to be banished to readers other modifications. Nobody has complained about the hot wheels thread, and this is far closer to being about modding than that.

as a contibuter to this thread i think it would be a shame to see it locked but if need be i don't see it being an issue for us that do like it to go onto members other mods.
At least its all in one place teamblitz and it is good fun playing with some of the other forum users.

10-4, good buddies. Not trying to say it's a bad topic or it's in any way non-legit. Just saying, like it moved please. Do NOT want it locked! Just moved to other modifications or some such category. Same with homes people are buying, Same with hotwheels, Same with anything but actual vehicles on the Gen Page. And I am a contributor to a lot of off-topic threads. So, no offense intended or imputed. Just want the Gen Page reserved for the main course we're serving here. OK, I don't decide nuthin', so no need to answer me, boys. Just continue as you were. ;D

anyway I really must get a network adapter! before the split I was online but now ive moved out my xbox has to live upstairs while the modem is downstairs....anyone know if you can link a 360 directly thru a laptop? itd save me 60 sheets don't think you can, do you have a wireless router on your modem? if so I run my 360 through a single-port Belkin external wireless converter, cost about £25, you just plug it into the network socket on the 360 and it connects to your wifi Got myself Forza3 last week and I completed the A Class championship lastnight, enjoying it sofar and I like the way it lets you schedule events between the championship race days.. only thing I don't like sofar is that there isn't any facility for practice/setup/grid qualifying sessions before the races. Favourite event so far has been doing the F Class Fujimi Kaido stage races, used the '70s Datsun fairlady painted in Kawasaki Green Anyone able to give me some pointers for setting up a drift car? i've been experimenting with Camber, Caster and Spring Rates but I can't seem to hit a setting style that will let me flick a car into a corner.. everything I try seems far too nose heavy meaning I get understeer first then can't control the switch?
