Oooof! Loving Tri's GTO. There ARE some slotmags around, but I can't remember what brand. I have a set on.... one of my cars. Truuuueeeeeeeno: On Works Equips like Tri's Supra. Nice choice of wheels! Wish I had the patience to do paintjobs like that, the best I can do is RS stripes before I'm bored. Do spend hour upon hour tuning, though. ANYWAY, now I've had some time playing the game, I'm going to give positive feedback to add to my whining earlier: I'm fairly sure this is the first game I've played that doesn't trivialise drifting. Every game I've played until now has a completely different physics/handling model for their drift modes, which has always bugged me. I recognise they do it to make it more accessible to noobs, but I've always been annoyed at how easy it all is. Drifting down the mountain roads in Forza 3 has really made me respect the skill involved with those who do it in real life. I've sorta rambled here a bit, so have a pic of what my Supra looked like after about 10 minutes of trying to set it up for drifting on the Japanese mountain course:

I went and bought a 360 solely for this game, ended up having to get an HD TV as well Gotta say, it's ace It's already absorbed vast quantities of my spare time and I have only briefly dabbled with the paintjobs so far, I've been enjoying the racing too much!

It makes it really satisfying when you pull off a nice sequence just by balancing all of the inputs just right. I did a bit of drifting ages ago in forza 2, and decided to have a go this evening on the new one. After a bit of tuning on a pimped Celica-Supra I had sitting around, I managed a fairly tidy (at least for me!) lap around the complete Fujimi Kaido circuit. Starts off a bit messy but I'm really happy with it from a few minutes in after I got the hang of it a bit. The full replay is up on my storefront if anyone wants a peek - Go to Storefront, then Browse Replays. Search for: Make: Toyota Model: Toyota Supra '84 Environment: Fujimi Kaido Track: Fujimi Circuit Keyword 1: Drifting Keyword 2: Long My replay is called "supra drift", and has the description "first lap with new setup". Would greatly appreciate any feedback on here Also, if anyone wants my Supra Tune, shout me and I'll send it to you for free The GTO is absolutely pimp and that's a rather nice angle on that ae86! ;D

Hi, this is my first post here and I thought that it would be nice to post about something I know about, as I'm on this game a lot. Gotta have something to occupy myself until I'm old enough to have a retro, haven't I? Anyway, on with my pics. All drifting related as I'm a part of an online drifting team. And my Mark 2 Golf. Only one pic, and its my attempt at an arty shot.

Welcome to RR Matty, some nice shots there!
Played around a bit with the movie maker, here's a little short of my Celica after a new coat of paint, and subsequent removal of said paint on walls...

Welcome Matty! Brawr - tried to view ur replay but for some reason have so far been unable to connect to the storefront :s. Cool video though. I have serious trouble holding a drift over a crest (as would be expected), Whats the trick?

Remember that the crest will accentuate your current drift and back off as you go over, and the downhill section will do the rest. Works for me.

That's what I do for most of them, but it seems to me no matter how much I back off, some crests will spin me regardless (specifically the series of steep hairpins on that track). I've taken to just waiting til I crest on those before hanging the back out, which works.. but is hardly in the spirit of things, lol.

However, I think it was mainly the car to be honest. I'm still not exactly pro as I have really sod all experience. Not had that much free time, as I got Forza, Dragon Age and MW2 all in the space of a week, plus I'm getting ready to move this coming Saturday (eek). Anyway, had a bit of time to tweak and practice this evening though and I got my single lap score up to about 77k with 2 laps practice.. which isn't terrible, only about halfway up the scoreboard though. Lol. Synopsis of the muddle of a paragraph above: yes I'd really appreciate any advice and help you could give me as long as you promise not to mock me

Tri - I don't mock new drifters, I encourage fresh blood into it Captainmatt - I got mine from the Storefront. Just go to it from the main menu, go to "Buy vinyl groups" Press X, and type cable tie, zip tie, grassroots, anything really. Typing in "drift" usually throws up some good results too.

Flickr gives much better quality for FM3 photos then Photobucket. Anyway, MEGA UPLOAD. All of these are some of my drift cars. Theres a lot more. These last three have been entered for an in-game photography competition run by some of the respected members of the Forza community. Opinions? In this next one its drifting a banked corner, caught the road, and lifted the wheel, making some nice sparks in the process

^^ Nice car, nice photo. Some more from me. My Grassroots drift AE86. With added pink bumper for more grassroots points y0. The TSU thing is the logo of the team I'm now on. Tandem run with my Ford GT and a friend's Bentley Continental. Getting no angle as the GT needs more work to the setup.
