Can't beat a shark front.
Losing a couple of inches off the springs would be good though.

Thanks for the comments .I agree a small drop would be good and many e28 owners have done such to geat effect. Though about black wheels what do you think?

Black wheels work on a lot of car/wheel combinations, but I reckon you motor realy suits the all silver wheel look. Drop it hard with a touch of rake - job done! Sweet looking motor and needs very little to take it to uber status!

Hey broadie777, love the E28s. What was the 525e like to drive? I've been seriously considering one recently and love the idea of a relatively torquey, light(ish) saloon. Don't want it to be too sluggish, though

They're pretty decent speed wise lewis. Mine kinda hauls ass, but it's been on a bit of a diet compared to a standard one. Nice to see another e28 on here.

Thanks guys: Not sure about slammin the car as low as that I would have no sump left driving it on the roads where i drive. It does look great.!! The 525e was good but not breathtaking to drive, more suited to long motoway cruising and pottering around.Althought there are a few owners who have replaced the diff and head to great effect, making it very quick off the mark, and they are all autos. Future plans Deffo going to blackout the wheels, and go for the shadowline look on the chrome. Lower it a tad Thats about it. Unless anyone has other ideas ;D

Shawdowlining the chrome will prove pretty tough from experience dude. Whenever i've tried to black chrome before it has proven an absolute nightmare to key which resulted in any paint applied coming off very easily. I kinda like the chrome on it - looks in fairly good nick.

yes, the chrome look is working well for this one!
I'm getting serious hankerings after an e28 to replace the e34 T when it sells...

Due to the weather not much has happen apart from this Hit side on by a prick in a white van.He has admitted full liability so just awaiting a report from the engineer to assess the damage , and to see if its been written-off. don't think its viable to repair so looking at a drivable write-off.

That's a shame as it was really clean. About 20 times cleaner than my one anyway. Are you planning to buy it back from the insurance if it's written off?

Hopefully the insurance company won't want a lot for it and you can throw a couple of door skins on? Decent e28's are thin on the ground so must be worth the effort.

Hit side on by a prick in a white van.He has admitted full liability so just awaiting a report from the engineer to assess the damage , and to see if its been written-off. don't think its viable to repair so looking at a drivable write-off. I've explained this a lot of times but still... Because you've been hit, and the other driver has admitted liability, and their insurance will be paying, you CAN and you SHOULD INSIST that the car is repaired to pre-collision condition. Why should your car suffer because of them? It is the law and although the insurers will try to write it off, they DO NOT have legal authority to do so unless YOU LET THEM, which happens all too often because people are misinformed. You'll have to stand your ground. They'll try to push you, but you have a legal right to be reimbursed to a state where you have suffered no loss through no fault of your own - in this case the reimbursement being the complete and satisfactory repair of the car by an insurance approved (but not necessarily their choice) vehicle repair company. It's also quite a substantial knock and although you may not have any pains, visit your doctor within 48 hours for a check-up regardless. If you don't, and later you develop anything, it will be difficult to prove causation. I didn't feel my whiplash for about two days, but I was taken from the scene in an ambulance anyway. Six years on and currently, right now, I can feel a twinge in my shoulder and middle back even still, and after therapy. If I hadn't been taken to the hospital I wouldn't have received a payout. Although I'd much rather no payout and a strong back... I didn't do Law for the craic hi. Stand up for the car.
