Thanks for all the positive comments.
Had the engineer out to have a look .Didn't take him long to do what ever he does (which didn't seem a lot) and will get the report back sometime next week.
He did say that the front tyre has been damaged so i shouldn't drive it.Great Curtice car time!!! .They got me a new vw passat 2.0 tdi to use while the paper works going through (nice car and f**kin quick for a diesel.
Ive No doubt it will be a write-off, and they will offer me a a small amount of monies to keep me happy.
Thats were the fun will begin ;D The first offer will be a curse word one,thats when they will get my request for a full repair, undertaken at a BMW franchise, with a Curtice car thrown in for good measure.
Then wait for them to make a better offer. ;D

Ok quick update . the insurers offerd me £900+ the car. Which to me is a good offer. I can keep the car throw a couple of doors on and bobs your antie ;D With pleanty left over for goodies  |

Dude real shame about your bump.
Can't be certain but looking at it from here front door and rear arch are both repairable by a decent pannel beater so just need a rear door.
I would want double what they are offering you plus the car as don't forget to factor in painting costs and materials to get it back to the standard it was.

£900 plus the car is not a bad offer. I know people will say hold out for more and screw them for all you can but in reality it's a pretty minor knock. A chunk of cash that will pay for new doors, some rims etc. Seems pretty fair to me.

Indeed i was pleased with the offer so i took it :)Best part is they are'nt going to inform the VOSA, so it wont need a VIC test=Result!!
Plan for the car are to get the doors sorted ,little bit of a tidy up and then lower it and repaint it black with gold pin stripes and wheels.
Itll be a bit of a JPS look, well thats the plan anyway.

BMW Car magazine has a feature on JPS cars they released in Oz. Might be worth taking a look for ideas? A 2inch suspension drop will make it look so much nicer. I'm liking this e28 myself...  |

Rare to see E reg 525e as most last ones were 520i.The E289HRD 520i registers as just a month before launch of new 5 series.

Thanks for the comments lads. Ive managed to locate a couple of matching doors in the write colour (cirrus blue metallic) just have a bit of a journey to pick them up (surrey)  don't know when i will find the time but at least the car will be back to its former self soon. Tali the cars a 525i not a 525e bit of a difference and my old 520i was indeed one of the last e28s to roll out of the showrooms. If anyone happens to be passing surrey on there way to Manchester ;D A few pictures of my very bad temp repair    |
