Hi everyone. I've just recently turned 16 so decided I needed something cool and retro to get around on. I needed something that would be reliable to get to school and back everyday so after alot of research looking around I found this: They are a Chinese bike imported by one dealer in Braintree who put there name to them and upgrade them before they are sold. (NGK spark plug, upgraded electronics, better battery, alarm, immobilizer etc) so this avoids any weak Chinese points. However, the bike is a direct replica of a Honda Joker and I believe many Honda parts are used. The engine is a Honda clone and is a 4 stroke so sounds lovely. It is lovely to ride, very smooth and I have had it for 6 months and haven't had any trouble. Best of all, it only cost £1000 Brand new with a years warranty! Since buying the scooter in September, I've derestricted it so it now does 45MPH, fitted 4.9g Polini roller weights, fitted a topbox, front headlight eyelid, chequred the back of the registration plate, chequered the bottom of the L plate, made some dust caps out of some "Hooters" casino dice and made a retro base for the topbox That's enough talking anyway. Have some pics: All Comments welcome

Take the Chines badges off the sides, replace with something more interesting and retro.
Add a pair of Dice Valve caps, or Maltes crosses from Halfords.
Not much else to add, it is a perfectly pretty scooter as it is, and does not need much modding.

I quite like the name of it but I have already got some Iron Cross Valve caps. Was debating whether to put them on cas you can't see much of them but maybe I will. Got an Iron cross sticker on the back of the headlight now too ;D thanks for the suggestions.

I'd also (depending on your skills or those who can help) get the rear box changed and go retro rear lights....... As said - these are actually quite well styled - I want the hadlebars for a project of mine as I think the shape is fantastic.
Good luck - the lights - for me - would really add on the age effect..... but it's just my 2p worth.

Pretty cool little thing there, I don't think it needs much else doing it to it (maybe some more checks? On the front mudguard perhaps?) Used to hang around in Braintree years ago, back in the days when the Spread Eagle would serve us even though we were your age!

You could add something like this, or various other designs to the sides, or front panel. Eagles came from a shop in Lakeside.

Helmet is cool. I got a full face though cas its safer on longer journeys. Faux retro, should have bought a moped! I think there is a difference between retro and old though so not really faux imo. Some of those old mopeds are cool though

Was in Poundland a while ago and couldn't help noticing this: After a bit of filler, primer and paint it started to look more like it should. 8) [/b][/color]

Nice work with the modding! I wanted to ask, I have just bought a Tamoretti and cannot see how I can fit a top box that can open without it hitting the back of the backrest. How did you do it, did you extend the rack at the back?
Hope she is still running well, have you had any problems? Cheers! ;D

Hi - can you tell me how you fixed your BACK BOX please? I purchased one similar recently but appears not to fit - does your rack have some sort of extention?
Regards Nick (Essex)

Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply. Havn't checked back here for a while. Thanks for the replies. The Rack was too short for the box to be mounted as it was designed to be and the lid hit the backrest when the box was opened. The mounting plate for the topbox is fitted to the rack with 2 metal sections about the width of the rack with a hole at each end. The are designed to fixed width-ways under the rack with the mounting plate on top of the rack (sandwiching the rack between the brackets and the mounting plate). This brought the box too close to the backrest so I installed the brackets length ways, allowing them to be pushed over the edge of the rack so the mounting plate could be installed further forward. Hope this helps. As far as insurance is concered, I found it no problem. Not sure how cheap it would be for you as I am a 16 year old new driver. I am a member of the chinese scooter club though (don't laugh! ;D) and it appears that the cheapest insurance company for these is Rampdale. Type into Google. I used them and they seem very good.

Nicely done! This is quite a cool little scooter, especially for a brand-new Chinese import. Good to see someone putting their stamp on one and making it actually look good.
