Yeah, she really won a token and a chocolate biscuit. She handed the token through a hole in a wall of a shop next door and got handed a wad of notes back. She got to keep the chocolate biscuit, too, so she was well pleased. ;D

What a superb and surprising post. I never knew VW had such a following in Japan and what a cracking museum.It looked chock-a-block full of interesting bits and pieces and is the sort of place you could lose track of time in.  |

Now, that hot oval I mentioned earlier? It was gone when I emerged back onto the street about an hour later. Shame, thinks I, never got any real pictures of it. Ach well. Time I was heading back anyway; there's only so much legendary aircooledness one person can handle! Still, I got me a cool T-shirt from the coolest T-shirt rack on earth. Heading back to the railway station there's a wee road I need to cross - it joins the main one at a funny angle and as such, I have to crane my neck right 'round to see what's coming. I'm glad I did, because that oval's parked down there with the decklid up. It'd be rude not to go and have a look, eh?   Oh yeah, that's proper nice. Decide I should have a wee look-see at the Brazilian Beetle parked in front of it, it's been a while since I've seen one. Well, actually, about six months, but still...  It's not really that interesting. Not much, if any, lowering. Empi 8s. Woo. In fact, their mailbox is more interesting:  It's at this point that I notice that the Brazilian Beetle's blocking one of those typically Japanese multi-storey garages, and when I see what's on the ramp just above my eye-level my jaw almost hits the floor. That's not, is it? Sweet Jesus, it looks like it. I'm inches from Volkswagen history and I'm honestly trembling. It's the Inch Pincher.  |
