..anyone used them?
They are cheap, so I'm not expecting brilliance, but still, be good to have some idea of what they're like.
So guys, any thoughts?
Chris

They serve a purpose of being coilovers, but as said, buy cheap you will regret it in a years time, they don't last and the ride is supposedly rock hard which makes your car skitish and crashy which is worse than wallowy standard in my book!

I had a set on my Golf. Yes they are hard but the car handled well, certainly not skittish. I took them off in the end as they were too hard for the potholed roads of Somerset, driving became uncomfortable but no unpredictable handling! They were worth the money, I thought.
Changed them for some budget "sports" suspension and the car handled like Bambi on ice! Springs were far too hard and the only shock absorption was in the tyres! Now got some adjustable Konis on there. They handle well and aren't too hard (I've deliberately set them soft). As with anything, you get what you pay for I suppose.

Have them on the Mk2 Golf, they are very firm as you might expect, not crashy but if you hit a few yumps like on that lumpy bit of the M56 you will really know about it. Did 2k miles in France on them this summer with no worries other than they squeak like an old bed when you drive through cobbled villages

I'm running them on my Mk1 Golf and this: the car handles well without feeling to stiff . they are a lot stiffer than the stock suspension but the ride is good on all but the worst roads well, worth the money Sounds spot on. They obviously aren't the best out there, but for the money they are great. Masses of adjustment and a ride that is bearable for the amount of lows you can achieve.

For the money they can't be faulted, I've had about 4 sets and they do the job spot on, and seem fairly well made, and I've never had a set leak. Just cover the threads in grease to stop the adjusters seizing up!

If you're replacing a stock coil-over with an aftermarket coil-over, please explain why you need/want to, in YOUR particular application. (Not a theoretical application, please.)

Without wishing to sound overly arsey, why does he have to justify his choice to you? I'd like to echo the comments about greasing the threads, we used liberal application of chain grease and I'll do the same again in 6 months I think just to stay on top of it. Roundabouts will become your new best friends. The amount of time my Mrs makes up on the way home from work just by driving round the outside of people on roundabouts is unreal.

Without wishing to sound overly arsey, why does he have to justify his choice to you? Who said he had to? I said "please". He's free to ignore. I probably sell more coil-over kits a year than anyone on this forum. I'm trying to understand his needs. You're also free to ignore this second post as well.

I ordered a set of these 2 days ago for my nova at £160, so I can let you all know I read alot of reviews, almost everyone said they're good value, well built and get your car really low which is all I want. A few have said they're rebranded and exactly the same as the vmax and jamex coilovers

exactly the same as vmaxxx, jamex, raceland and probably more but only cost £160 instead of well over £200 like some people charge for them. I bought Hot tuning coilovers and received vmaxxx so it is true They're okay but I ain't gonna complain for £40 a corner, no-sireee-bob!

I've had a set for nearly 2 years, done approx 20,000 miles on 'em and yes, they're a bit hard, but no worse than my mates £300 supersports...
I'd say they're cracking value for money...not as good as £1000 coilies, but they're cheap...
There have been a few guys (not that many though) who've had problems on the dub forums, but they all seem to be the guys who've got them wound right down, super low...

I have them on my e36 328 coupe. I imagine on a smaller, lighter car they would feel a lot firmer, but on the bm they feel great. They appear to be of a good quality too.

Ive got vmaxx ones on the golf which are the same type rebranded and I can only echo what everyone else has said. Quite firm, bit bouncy on curse word roads but decent enough for the price and can go silly low if you're that way inclined - got the golf about 20mm off the ground with bumpstops removed just to see how low it could go. Definite improvement on the chopped springs I had prior to the coilies aswell.
