I found that a lot depends on what part of Spain you go to. I was in Salou a couple of years ago, and was surprised about the total lack of Retro tin. The following year, I went to Benidorm, and the streets were full of them (I'm talking SEAT 132's, Mirafioris, more SEAT 600s than you could possibly fit in your garage, plus loads of old Renaults and Simcas), pity I didn't have a digital camera in those days. Mallorca and Costa del Sol are also pretty good for spotting.

I've heard about Malta. Apparently home to some insane turbo Mk1/Mk2 Escorts and the like.

Yep!
Pretty much everything has fairly ruined interiors though - the heat just cooks them :-)

I'd rather deal with that than rust!

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Read somewhere recently (might have been on here actually!) that the old Maltese buses are doomed and have got to be replaced by something built to modern safety standards. Tragic.
I love the drivers faith in shouting and arm waving to remove any obstacle and negate any problem encountered.

The buses are still the same as those pics - comical/scary/brilliant to ride all at the same time. Driving over there is hilarious :-)

what would be the "issues" exporting a Maltese car? Rolling that Taxi home would be a mission!

them things in the gearbox that stop it going 'crunch' every time you change gear The metro in question would go into 4th with out a crunch but every other gear nasty grinding sounds.
