	SEEMS MY HOUSE HAS SOLD ! ! When Nicola and I get married in August, we hope to buy this house, with a 30x30 garage. Enough space I guess to shoehorn about 6 mk2 VW Golfs into. Lots of space for "stuff" and to do projects. The garage is down the bottom of the garden, with wheatfields behind, and in front of the house it is the same, very rural , which is what we want. Behind the bush is a garage. Currently the owners have a trampoline for their daughter in front of the one side...... There is another door on the other half, behind the overgrowth, and trampoline..... SPACE !! Current owners use this space as a afternoon sun spot, and it is very private too, which helps keep eyes away from toys and projects. Lastly, to give an idea of the size, this is a view of the rear of the building seen from the wheatfields. Keep your fingers crossed please.

	I was sceptical about this when you started, but I must say it looks awsome! You have managed to make the unthinkable - a insanely cool trailer/caravan. Congrats on selling the house, look forward to seeing what you do with the huuuge garage

	Saw this little trailer at Mersea today, was wondering how many of them exist ? Would make a great camping trailer, with a lift up rear door.

	Well, I guess like most things, this was born out of necessity. At Classic Ford and other meetings , Oldbus and others always have the BBQ. However, we do not know who we will be camping with at the Retro Show in July at Santa Pod, so I thought it wise to make a small 2-3 person BBQ that can be abused and used as needed. Picked up a couple of empty Helium tanks today from Party balloon suppliers at the tip, along with a Briggs and Stratton petrol lawnmower. 2 Angle grinders, hammer, vice, mig welder, some bicycle seat uprights, a handlebar cut in half and some offcut stainless steel mesh, an hour playing in the garage, and we have a basic BBQ that should work just fine. Quick cut here, and there.... Leaving me with this Small rest area on side for meatbowl to rest on and keep meat warm till all is ready to eat. Hacksaw and welder later, has us with a functional tool, just need to cut the slots for the air to flow through. Trust you like. I really would have prefered to have used a Jerry can and made a closing lid BBQ with handle, but not having a jerry can meant having to resort to this. The other one is to cut in half so that I can use it as a recessed section in the gas bottle and battery box, below the top level of the A-frame of the trailer at the front.

	Thought I would add this here, as it links in to the new house buy and the money I lost selling my existing place. Got this mower at the council tip on Monday after work, gave it to a colleague who needed it on Tuesday morning 07.30 when he popped in for a coffee. The popped in to the skip yard later the same morning by 08.30 and was given this one of the back of a trailer.... Brought it home yesterday and tonight after work, I pulled it out the garage, and pulled once, started beautifully, cut my outside lawn, found it to be self propelled, and had a tank of fuel.... the guy tipping it was in a very new Discovery and had bought a new mower..... happy days. Checked the price of this one which cuts a 17" or 45cm wide section of grass..... £249.99 at B&Q. I am chuffed as I do not have a mower for the new house yet. This is the way I am able to reel in the loss I made selling my house at a loss.

	Intersting how one gets addicted to things. The build of this trailer had it's ups and downs. Now I find that with extra time on my hands, I am looking for stuff to do. Today we found two identical Dino's at the bootfair. 20p each...... bargain. I have been looking for ways to camouflage the base into which the poles fit for the galley, from ally Budweiser ber bottles to bits of wood etc. When I saw the first one of these, it was going to be a mascot. Then I found the 2nd one, and just knew it would be made to cover the base, with the pole going throigh the back ofit. I also varnished the exterior another coat, about no 5 I think. and did the floor of the galley and sealed it around the bottom edge with some silicone both for water and gas entry into the cabin section. Last thing I did was to open a tin of thinners and use some of it to get the glue from the Sellotape I had used along the edges where the Sikaflex went off the ally. Actually an easy job. Dinos in place.

	Had to post this. Chris Squier over in SoCal has built a seriously engineered chassis for his Teardrop, interestingly, he is towing with a Ford Focus. I just love the wheels he got though. Banded look, with chrome centre caps and trim rings.

	Well, the last couple of weeks have been filled with other stuff, like living and spending time with Nicola. This week I stole some time after hours to make up the rear vallence out of ally sheeting too, so that it fits in with the rest of the trailer. Scott (Jabbo) will be around some time to connect the right bits up , as I am not too good with it. I have laid and fitted wires to everything, including a pair of side lights, which I modified to only shine from the one side, and not the other or the top, these will be number plate lights. Those of fleet eye will note that the reflectors are upside down..... but then at night reflections do not stop just because they are upside down. It fitted the best with the space I do have. The lights you will remember were an exhorbitant impulse buy at last years Battlesbridge show and autojumble @ £15/pair. Mark (Nightmares Racing) polished all the lettering off them for me as well. These are from Austin 1100 and also London Black Cab Taxi's. Backing plate made up. All the bits laid out and ready to fit on the Old Grizz Sinclair trailer. Fitted, now just needs to be wired up the the existing harness. I am quite pleased with the way they came out, just need to see it out in the open now. Right, next stop : RETRO SHOW - Santa Pod in 2 weeks.

	Trailer went to Jabbo's on Friday for the wiring up of the lights. Fetched the Transit yesterday, so looks like we will be at Santa Pod next week.
