Good news. The car went straight through the MoT test. There was a slightly raised eyebrow at the rh front bottom ball joint........there is just a little bit of play and the lh caliper is 'lazy'. Apart from those, she's cherry.
Of course, I got on the phone to Cat and told her about all the extra rot the tester had found and the difficulty in sourcing, never mind fitting a new rear subframe, not to mention the worn steering rack and how it really wasn't a viable project any longer. I said I'd weigh it in on the way home and she could use the cash to buy panels for the Mini.
She usually waits up for me to get home from work but tonight not. I think she lost her sense of humour at school.
Oldbus, I'd be very offended if you made it over and didn't pop in. I've found a box of 123 parts....mostly lights and switches and so on. There is a cassette holder for the centre console and a grille/radiator blank and other bits.
24vpaul. Stop by next time you're up. Coffee pot is always simmering.
