1990 Merc 190E 2.0 manual for sale. 040 gloss black (not grey, not metallic but gloss black). Stunning condition for age, I've owned this for about six years now and it's been extremely well cared for.
Clear side/front repeaters, chrome '190' wing badges, extremely rare heated front seats (fully working), cream MB Tex interior, CD player, colour coded AMG replica alloys, smoked rear lights etc.
This car is extremely clean for it's age and in all honesty I think you'd do very well to ever find one as nice again.
Bodywork, paintwork and interior are superb. Has had Merc overmats fitted from new and the carpets underneath are like brand new.
As good on fuel as a Cavalier 2.0 and was cheaper to insure than an SRi Cav. Parts are stupidly cheap even from Mercedes and there's probably nothing you can't get for it new or used...
Known faults: o/s/f wing rusty but a) easily repaired and b) brand new wing included. MOT and tax expired but will only want the brakes sorting out. It had had the brakes bled MOT before last but they went spongy again so last MOT it had a brand new master cylinder fitted and they went spongy again so possibly air getting in or need bleeding better. Aside from that it's pretty much un-marked and the paintwork is superb as said. The interior is mint too, no sagging doorcards, fag burns etc.
Viewing best so you can see how good it is, it's been my pride and joy and treated like a baby. Extremely reluctant sale but it never gets used now and I have my eye on a newer Merc so it's up for sale.
I've been that anal over it it's almost never got dirty, I never park it up and leave it more than ten minutes and in all my time of ownership it's only ever spent seven nights not locked in the garage, so almost entirely free of carpark dents and scratches etc. Almost show standard and will increase in value.
Under the bonnet and inside the boot are immaculate too and it's not got some w@nky bodykit on it as they spoil the lines of the car in my opinion.
I'll be gutted to see it go, I always said I wouldn't sell it but it's pointless sitting in my garage not being used. 163,000 on the clok but some history, only two previous owners and runs like a Swiss watch. Probably only done <100 miles since last MOT so convinced with brakes sorted it'll p1ss the MOT. Been offered just shy of £300 for the wheels about a year ago so bear that in mind.
Not cheap, there's loads out there for less than this but I honestly doubt you'll find another one this nice with this spec.
£999 no offers and no part-ex. Can't budge on price at all sorry, it's just not worth selling it for less.
It's in Chester, Cheshire close to A41/M53/M56.
*Now rolling on the colour coded AMG rep alloys and the chrome arches have been taken off.
