Hi guys, I have a radiator for my ca18det capri. It has no filler cap in it, would I need to get a pressurised header tank (as in a plastic bottle with a screw on cap) as opposed to my 'flip cap' pinto overflow bottle?
Also, would I be able to use this to fill the rad or would I have to get an inline filler cap in the top hose? Cheers
Also, I need to extend the thick (+) battery cable from drivers side to passenger side, what ampage wire etc... would I need for this? I'm not the best electrician. Also where would you recommend to buy it? thanks a lot in advance

pick the cable up from a welding supplies shop. They should have heavy stuff in stock and its usually much cheaper tan other places.

you can still use your pinto filler / expansion bottle just add an inline header / rad cap jobbie in the top hose. All kit car places do these in the 32mm you'll need for about £25 inc cap.
ENSURE your expansion bottle is higher than the rad cap where possible to ensure it flows back into the system when cooling, the one in me herald is too low and I keep having to top the system up, lol!

So I can use the pinto expansion tank bottle thing that has just a normal flip top? (ie not a twist off pressurized cap) and then just put a rad cap in the top hose? Sorry MightyMork can't work, out are you Tims friend who was there when we picked up the engine?

Haha, cheers dude!! Couldnt work it out! Thanks for your fast replies too!! Ive got the rad in and sorted all the pipes, intercooler has been modded a bit to fit behind the front panel and Ive sorted all those hoses too. Got the wiring lying roughly where it needs to be in and out the car and about 60% of it clipped together. Got to do the earths and extend the battery cable. Got to work out how much HP fuel hose and I need to buy and fit that and then the exhaust. I think I'm just going to get a straight through mild steel pipe and connect it to my pinto performance backbox. Cheers for your help dude
