I don't know why but I got all inspired today to do some googling for wide arched va-hee-cles. I think it might be because they remind me of being a kid and loving DTM cars and all that, but if they're done right, they are proper win for me. For example... And finally, this (modern I know but I'm thinking of getting an EP3 and I came across this while reading up on them....) Anyone car to share some more?

Porsche 924 - gone Citroen Saxo VTR - not very retro but I loved it - now gone... MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T - gone but hardly remembered... Mini Cooper S R53 - gone BMW 125d Coupe - gone (mostly sideways)
Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have

Any excuse to post a pic of my Olympic. This one shows the difference between the new arches on the passenger side, against the original on the driver side. Wide enough?

G60 arches on my golf. They make the 6j wheels look tiny but i needed them for the MOT. As soon as funds allow will be replaced with 16x9s all round
