Yeah they definetley don't suit been made to look older than they are, as shown with the "real" examples.
I think they'd be easy to make look nice if somebody with an ounce of taste got hold of one.

I'm quite proud of this, it's probably my best potatoshop to date ;D. This looks nice in my eyes..... Just smoothed off all the curse word, slammed it and then some BBS RS's. Simple yet effective! I'd drive that. Or steal the picture of it off the internet and do this to it ;D Maybe? (I'm not brilliant at this photoshop malarkey)

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! This is making my eyes bleed! Why do PT cruser owners always usualy insist on stick on cr@p? The sort of stuff that Halfrauds would throw away! If you stick tacky rubbish on a car, you end up with tacky rubbish! All those little crome stick on flames. Why? There arnt many cars i don't like, but i used to work at a chrysler dealer and i can honestly say these are the worst cars ive ever driven. Eva! The driving position is odd, the handling is naff, the standard styling is crud, they just got the retro thing wrong in my eyes, yet its amazing how so many people seem to want to make a bad thing worse, and be proud of it! I know one of the general rules is if you havnt got a good thing to say, don't say anything but...................
Everything about PT crusers is RUBBISH. And that includes all the stick on sh1t!

I've got a negative comment for you ... this thread isn't very good. If you wanna trash other peoples rides, take it to pistonheads.
The photoshops of how to make one look great are the way forwards.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

joet in da house: Faux-retro action...
It's strange, isn't it, rumour has it that when the "design team" at Chrysler worked on the PT Cruiser they had a 40 Ford Woodie sitting around, how could they get it so wrong but so close, google 1940 Ford and you get at car with many similar styling clues to the PT Cruiser, fit a set of red rims, whitewalls and lower any bodystyle of the 40 Ford and it looks cooooool, there's NOTHING and I mean NOTHING you can do to a PT Cruiser to make it look cool, sorry but IMHO the car STINKS!!!! Had a friend over here in Sweden that when he saw the first pix of the PT Cruiser ran over to the Benz/Chrysler dealer and orderd a black on black with V6, a week later her found out that Taxi Stocholm (the biggest Taxi co in Stockholm) had orderd 20 PT Cruiser, a quick phone call was made to cancel the order...
DP says: Sorry but I feel nothing for that car....

I made a post on these like a few months ago i think it was now... the thing is I think Chrysler had very good intentions but all these extras for them with stick on chrome etc just makes them no worse than your typical corsa with Halfords chrome tape on them and things... I think if someone was to put some real thought into it and perhaps a front end conversion of something older or something that these would look okay..
Chevrolet I think it is made the retro looking pickup truck, and someone added the front end of an old 50s chevy pick up and it looked absolutely AMAZING... don't know where the pic has gone now!
I think peoples intentions with these are good, but no one has managed to get it right yet. However the woody conversions are somewhat cool in their own right.
