*Right then... as alot of people are aware... they made the mk1 and mk2 golf with 1.3 engines..(1.1s in the mk1s aswell)
*but were any of those fitted with auto boxes?
* or could they handle one? also does anyone know what the mech looks like on the autobox linkage?
I'm thinkin this as these were the small block engines as fitted to polos...
*does anyone know if the gearbox to engine stud arrangement is the same accross the range?
I'm thinkin of building a auto polo.... mainly as my girlfriend might be doing her test in an automatic and sharing cars is a massive possibility....
all this is as I'm pretty damn sure a polo auto was never made untill the mk4? at least available to us... although on the continent they had a diesel engine available to the mk2 ... albeit rare now...so anythings possible I guess... just havnt heard of one..
Ive got one of two cars lined up for the idea... both mk2 coupes.. but ones a mint B (84) coupe S in silver.
the other is a g reg 1.0 coupe.. in red
both cheap and both local....
Cheers guys for any help... much appriciated
