great thread. love the fact that you can get so much variety from only a few base models. need more on our Uk roads.
what annoys me though is that even though they all sip fuel, they would still get bumraped for high road tax in the UK, like my 04 plate smart roadster - 800cc, 3cyl turbo. does about 55mpg yet gets stung for £120 cos its 121g Co2.

Hold on - is that an N360 or a N600? Lenghtwise and enginewise the first is Kei, the second isn't... ;-) I do want an N still. N600 I'm afraid. Though it has been found that the broken exhaust is from a 360. There's a Z600 in the same-ish ownership

Going back to the Nippa advice.... Personally [glow=red,2,300]I'd be embarrased[/glow] to drive a car with that name and would rather the Diahatsu equivilent. Plus the Nippas are ugly! Anyone know if you can swap bits over? I could never be embarrassed to drive any car. We don't want marque snobbery on this forum do we The Nippa is identical to the equivilent Daihatsu, and the parts are all stamped with Daihatsu. The only difference is the badge. Which is which?

(This also means the K11 with the ADO16 style front end shouldn't be in here, shame on you Rmad!) I was going to post loads and issue a disclaimer that mine were merely 'small Japanese cars' but I was called to other duties whilst compiling the post and just clicked 'post reply'. That's that cleared up then. ;D
