Hmm, if I was the seller, and you sent someone else along, i'd probably tell them (and therefore you) to curse word off and stop wasting my time. Surely if you are seriously interested you should find a way to go and see it yourself?

Hmm, if I was the seller, and you sent someone else along, i'd probably tell them (and therefore you) to b*gg*r off and stop wasting my time. Surely if you are seriously interested you should find a way to go and see it yourself? Don't entirely agree on this one. Many's the time I've been to look at cars which were supposedly wonderful, as told to me by the vendor, only to drive 3hrs plus to find a rusty dog. If someone local could have nipped round to take a quick look, it could have saved a lot of hassle. Best car I ever bought was one I hadn't seen and agreed to buy over the phone on the basis of someone else's viewing, but then that was Ratdat who I think knows what's what. So I say good call, I'd like to think another RR member could help me out like this one day and possibly vice versa. Edit: Reason I said "possibly" above is because my car-buying skills are not that great! So please don't ask me to go take a look at a £50k Ferrari or anything. At best I'll be able to say it starts and has four wheels....

You can trust Sniper, no worries! Apparently his wife's cooking is good, too (according to someone on the Acton Hot Rod Association forum). So you might want to scrounge a meal too!

Next is tomorrow night, otherwise always first Wednesday at the Black Horse Stratford st Mary. We don't have any hard rules on what you own or drive, there are Rods, muscle cars, trad brits (me) and even newer retro type stuff, all are welcome, attitude is more important than what you drive.

Chances are that one of us lives up the road from it ;D Can I count myself as an honorary Ipswich member? Lived there for 6 years having moved from Sudbury area, and even now I'm only just across the border in Norfolk. I'd come down for a meet-up. BTW, can anyone explain why the Acton in AHRA? Not exactly the most significant place in the world as I recall. I remember seeing members' cars in the mag's years ago.

It's certainly an interesting looking beast. Can't say I've seen it about, but I only leave my house to buy food and go to the pub ;D

I had a quick look over it whilst it was there, & then saw it again when the owners left. He did drive it like a bit of a curse word ie. trying to floor it and spin the wheels when pulling out of the driveway (but it must only have a 1300 or something in it, as it couldnt even manage a squeek from the tyres). The camber on the wheels was horrendous - no doubt you will be eating tyres if you get it. Interior looked OK, The engine isnt chromed or done up in anyway, other than a set of simple straight out exhaust headers. Just don't be sold on the fact that it has a huge set of wheels. Did look cool tho.
