Thanks to the fabulous Skyway - a retrophile and audiotat enthusiast - I now have a decent stereo in the CSi.
However, fitment entailed a trip to The North. Southerners:
- Don't be afraid of the language barrier. You may find it more difficult to be understood than understand others. If cornered, keep calm, prolong each vowel and talk at approximately one third of your usual speed.
- Before you've reached the border (Junction 21, M25), make sure you pack hummus, sun-dried tomatoes and Camel Smooth cigarettes. These are not available out of the country.
- Take used fat. You'll be instructed on its use upon arrival.

And the best bit - my new old Alpine headunit, courtesy of Skyway's stores:
This car just gets better! It's very satisfying ripping out surplus, random wiring.
I love this shot, very GTA Vice City...
Also, congratulations on successfully overcoming the North / South divide. I'm so glad that you avoided the pitfalls normally encountered by visitors to the country. Many a hapless southerner have found themselves causing unintended offense by asking locals about salads, the whereabouts of the nearest Cafe Nero or any foodstuff which could be interpreted as "foreign muck".
