Post your favourites and obscurities here! Here's my first shot..... Anyone else like these? Lots of polished rim, detailed centres, super-rare! These pictures from a 2000 issue of Classics magazine, article about restoration of the Savage Cortina MkII shown. Edit: Forgot to say they were made by GKN, who also manufactured Wolfrace, Kent, some American wheels and many OE fitments.

Yep GKN or 'Sankeys' as it was know of Hadley,Teford in Shropshire (my Grandad worked there). They made the famous 'Roystyle' wheel for most car firms. And I like these

i posted these up a while ago, i still have no idea of there origin: They have 'LEGA' and 'Made in Britain' cast into the insides. Interesting. I've only ever seen Lega ad's for 10" Mini wheels, style called Italia. Definitely early 70's, quite detailed wheels in black with polished highlights popular then before slot mags became popular. They also remind me of a wheel Brown & Geeson did before they started on the plastic trims. Scans to come tonight...

I also have a fetish for these on the right car I know these are Powertechs but Weller did some chrome 8 spokes in the 80's as well and they look great on the right vehicle (well they do to me anyway ;D).

The all time best ever wheel & tire combo: Radir Tri Rib five-spokes with wide-whitewall bias-ply Coker Classic tires..... Lately I have seen the light and next spring I will try out a set of BRM 4-bolt with my 175-55-15" Smart tyres on the Skoda PickUp, we'll see how it looks....

these have pride of place in my lounge at present ;D always hard to get a decent photo though and this kindda shows the detail/profile of the small spike/spoke - the detail is awesome. I also love where they place/hide the valve
