Anyone Intrerested in Convoying down on Friday?
Me (MGB) Kay (Capri) Hitch (Mk2 Golf)
We are thinking about heading off around 2-3pm ish, possibly meet up with other peeps along the way.
Shall we say Donnington services as a potential meetup point, that way any northerners coming down the M1 can joing ect.
Let me know your thoughts.

If i end up going(waiting on camping prices) i work up at the donington moto. Aslong as no one is there more than 2 hours parkings free. But i can sort it out if everyone has to wait for someone.... lol

You should come mate, its a long way but the more people we have in the convoy the more encouragement we all have.
In actual fact the missus cant wait to drive my Capri down.
I am taking my 2 CBs too, basically so the missus can let me know whats happening in the car (temp etc), cus I know what she is like for not checking the warning signals/lights.
I have just worked out fuel and I think the GT will need 3 stops!!!!! on the way and back buggers LOL.

Thats not a bad idea CBs, think Ive got one in the garage I could bring to tell you when I'm breaking down lol. Ill probably need to use them stops aswell to top up fuel / oil / water lol.

65-70 is about as much as my ears can take anyhow.
Yeah Hitch get the CB sorted, they worked fantastic last weekend when me and the missus took the GT and Capri to Santa Pod.

Well judging by the Mileage I am getting from the B at the moment its looking like 2 Stops for fuel, not so bad as we budgeted 250 quid spending money for the weekend LOL.

Going by our trip to Santa Pod the GT will sit fine at 70+, the Capri eats anything LOL. So I guess if you need slower then yeah that person needs to set the pace, Esp cus my missus has a lead foot so she will be like hitch if at the front.
Its an easy route M1 - M42 - M5 or M1 M69 M5 etc, will let the leader decide.
Ahh for those wanting to Go Ikea and are coming from anywhere north of Notts, just of Junction 26 is the Ikea retail park you cnat miss it as the sign is big enough.
We will be stacked with brew anyhow.
Forgot about track action fuel, bah will have enough. Sure the MG will get a good part down the M5 before a fuel stop is required.
Remember to check your levels guys.
