Great progress, nice one! Your steering wheel is a bit like the gearstick on my Capri. It’s from a Puma, and was the first thing I ever bought on eBay and was fitted to my first car (mk3 fiesta), which my grandad gave me. It’s seen a lot, haha.... Thanks mate, bit of 1 step forward & 10 back lol The steering wheel is a funny one, I was with my stepdad when he bought it in 1997. It was on my first (road legal) car in 2000 and been in storage since about 2001 waiting to go on something - only taken 19 years lol.

So problems:
- I thought it sounded a bit special as it makes some awesome dose noises, reason? No BOV/DV fitted! So that needs addressing. - All the intercooler/boost pipes/vac lines are a nightmare and need redoing from scratch. - Radiator & cooling, the fans are either on or off - put fuse in and they run constant! I have never liked how many hose's there are in the engine bay, so I have ordered a BMW E36 316 rad to remove the need for the expansion bottle & the inlet/outlets are just about bang on for the AGU.
Once the new rad comes I can figure out where it's going and pick a intercooler to suit.
It needs a oil change as it stink of petrol
Fuel filter needs mounting, fuel pump wiring needs sorting. The switch in the dashborad in the video, no I don't know what it does - it has power but turning it on/off makes no difference lol.
It obviously needs a rewire - but this is going to wait until all the plumbing is sorted.
Feel a bit more motivated on this now, so fingers crossed I wont be posting the same update in another 5 years.

I was so pleased when it just fired up, even on2 y/o super unleaded Dead easy to do, but my palms are still bruised from getting them onto the lines! Even using washing up liquid as lube lol

Did a thing, actually harder than replacing full fuel system on mk2. Thanks in no part to Ford's excellent design where you have to unbolt the full carrier from behind the bumper and manover it through the hole. (Yes it's absolutely filthy)

Really lame update, new insurance sorted for the Mustang & private plate transfered. New insurance are ok with any mods so I can fit some wheel spacers and a H pipe for a bit more V8 noise

"The switch in the dashboard in the video, no I don't know what it does - it has power but turning it on/off makes no difference lol.'
PLEASE can you trace where the wiring goes, my curiosity is piqued. As I've said before if you get stuck with the wiring let me know, I don't log in often but the mystery switch is of upmost importance. You might be switching someones lights on and off somewhere via bluetooth, you never know.

Apart from the engine being in the bay and it all being connected, all the wiring and plumbing needs pulling out and redoing. Thanks mate, will probably need to pick your brain as I have 2 engine looms and 1 back to fusebox bit and a ecu sat in the garage.

As I would actually like to drive it. I'm currently talking to my mate who has a garage, hopefully he can fit it in to finish the golf.

H Pipe on it's way for the Mustang As I work Shifts, this is the reason for not going axle backs as well lol 124.7db at 6500rpm is a bit too loud

So H pipe was fitted last month and it's given the car a proper exhaust noise.
No progress with mk2 but I did drive it yesterday, first time in my ownership lol. Ok it was only up and down the drive but gearbox, clutch, and brakes all work nicely.
Left it running for a good 20 minutes, heaters didn't get warm so I'm assuming the matrix is knackered. Might try and give it a good back flush.

Did more tint film, what a faff that was. Not 100% happy with them as few creases on the odd edge. Like the look though & 10% of the price of getting aftermarket rear lights (still tempted to do that) Just needs wheel spacers and it's about how I want it then. I would like 20's, lowering a little & the upgraded shifter but that starts knocking on the door £4k to do that!!

Still trying to figure out the starting and running issues on the mk2. If I unplug the map vacum hose from the plenum the idle improves and the massive hesitation vanishes, so we think it's overfuling. A quick look at the vac lines suggests it's all curse word.
Mustang has cost me £720 this month. Dropped Mrs's accounts off with the accountant, was parked for about 5 mins after a 12 mile drive & it wouldnt start. Factory fit battery is 56ah! managed to find a Yusa on offer for £83 (GSF 60% off last week) for a 65ah and it fits.
Took it round the block yesterday (about 1/2 mile) and whilst driving stright and not booting it, the back end decided it wanted to go faster than the front luckily it only kicked out about2-3ft. It currently has factory fit (just under 3y/o) PirelliP Zeros (regarded as curse word by most owners) on the front which are starting to crack and wanted replacing anyway & it has some budget acceleras on the rear which I assume the dealer fitted. These have been ok but are rated by everyone that tested them as cack. Black circles have 15% of Michelins today so £660 for a full set os PS4 including mobile fitting.
I think I prefer having curse word dailies that cost less than 2 tyres

So it looks like my time with the Mustang is coming to an end, have been offered a lot more than I paid for it by a local dealer. It will be temporarily being replaced with a 2010 LCI Mini Cooper S which a friend is sellin cheap. Why temporary? Because all being well I will be ordering my first ever brand new car (excluding 1 lease car), It's Japanese, it's 4wd, it's 3dr, and has a waiting list until May 22 I havent forgot about the mk2, I am still waiting on it going into my mates garage to be finished & put on the road - it's insured & waiting lol. Although, it wouldnt start last week as it would appear to have run out out of fuel at long last
