Got a call this morning from a mate, Jamie. He's after a new project, so off the Corby to look at a rather mad yellow MKII tina. basicly it's a crude, wide, loud 2 door with an old essex 6 hooked to a capri 3.0 box, the guy had just got a 32 ford, and therefore had to sell it. We left with big smiles, Jamie isn't as rich as he was, and it IS a little crude, but bags of giggles, very loud and very very The car was on ebay, and as it was local, we decided to take a look cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-DOOR-FORD-CORTINA-MK-11-MK-2-MK2-MK11-3000CC_W0QQitemZ4580763665QQcategoryZ29755QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemI can see this being a giggle.

he does actually, the guy has a 9" axel and a 351 chevy engine that he's selling too.
So matt black, pro street.
If it was me, I'd want to do something mad like a modern TDi, but he loves muscle, so he'll probably go that route some time next year, but MOT it 1st and scare a few of the "lads" round here, then take it off the road in winter, once he's saved some money to do it "right"

I posted a link to this on an E-bay thread, looks like a great base for more modding... hope to see more of the car on here in the next few weeks/months.

I'll be keeping us updated, don't worry, Jamie might even pop on here himself from time to time , but I wouldn't expect too much too soon, maybe a few "in action" shots , but no build stuff till later in the year. Guys also got a white set of 16" merc pentas that'll go well on my van, expect pics when I get studs ordered

penski, lol, I was actually listening to cube when I posted too.
Tony, the studs on mercs are too narrow, it's a difficult one, is alloys on a wedge.
basicly I need to get the holes drilled for 14mm studs (vw type) and the radius cut for VW nuts, it'll cost about £50 or so.
Then I need spacers, cos they're proper wide, and will scrub lots.
Then I need conversion studs at the front, cos spacers and bolts don't mix
Then I need to get some longer rear studs, I have no idea why VW used studs at the back and bolts at the front.
