Yeah all stock apart from wheels and ride height, think along the lines of racer86's last chevette, low, roofrack and pretty much a stock cruiser.
Well i am willing to start taking on forced induction work on cars. I have always shyed away from working on others cars as i wasnt too sure of my knowlege or capabilities, but i am now satisfied that i have the skills to pay the bills. I just needed to prove to my self that i was capable. So if anyone wants a turbokit designing or fabrication work around this area i am willing to help.
Cheers J

Parts availability for the S100's are still fairly good, alot of parts can be found in the UK, if you're prepared to look, but alot can still be sourced in the good ol' CZ republic. I'm currently restoring an S100 (in readers rides) and have loads of parts stashed away. retrorides.proboards29.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=readersrides&thread=1110739425&page=1Wheel wise, the PCD is 4x130, this is the same as the old VW Beetle, wheels can be found fairly easily, but the rear arches need a little work if fitting 15's like the Prolines i've got on mine at the mo.

I would never wish to put anyone off buying a Skoda, but you really will be making a mistake if you intend to modify it like you say. Firstly if you change the wheels on it and lower it you will have nothing but grief. With the extra traction ive heard of suspension components snapping under the strain of cornering and gearbox's breaking very easily (Spare ones are not available). They were not the strongest as standard. Also parts are not the easiest now. Theve completly dried up in the UK and in CZ they are now a cult car and as such none are broken anymore. Also the S100 and S110r are 2 completely differant cars. If you lower it i think ive read you have got to cut out the inner arches on the S100. As i said i would never talk someone out of buying a Skoda, but i do not want to see you waste good money on a project thats going to be very time consuming and not really that reliable at the end of it. I want that skoda S100 on ebay so bad, ive got insurance quotes, and started getting money together. The imp is a great fun car but to and from uni is a real pain. The skoda would make a perfect every day driver, and the imp can come off the road for a few heavier tweeks. So here are my questions, how much do the S100's go for? How easy are they to lower? How easy is it to get bits for them? What PCD are the wheel and do any other cars have the same PCD and offset? And can someone do a bit of photoshopping for me, cal look? cheers guys J

There will be no extra strain on the suspension, its not like I'm gonna thrash it, ive got the imp for that! its a cruiser for those relaxed 60mph jaunts down the motorway. I will need no extra traction, the wheels will be purely for asthetics and so the lowering. If i fit stock size wheels and low profile tyres, then it should be able to go down a bit?
I'm gettin the feeling like i shouldent get this car, like I'm going to ruin a piece of history.
Oh and all of that work i can undertake, full custom manifolds, and turbo systems, just PM me if you are interested?

The S110R and S100 are very similar cars...I've had two S110Rs and I slammed both over 15" rims with low-profile tyres. A friend of mine did exactly the same with his S100 at the same time (except he had 15" ATS classics!). I wouldn't advise going too low though as I believe the negative camber (and subsequent driveshaft angle) at the rear can cause a lack of lubrication at the hub. But that's if you go really low: The back of this one was left at standard height, but a couple of inches would've been OK: As for rarity...if we're honest about it, these old Skodas are rare for a reason...no-one wanted them, and even today, despite their rarity they don't fetch very high prices. Retro-Steve's S100 didn't go for much and I suspect if he hadn't lowered it, it would have fetched even less, because that's the mod that made it appeal to VDubbers. Lowering and wheel swapping are both reversible processes so I wouldn't consider the car 'ruined'. I know that my S110Rs opened many eyes and without me 'ruining' them there'd be quite a few less S110R fans in the UK!

I'm gettin the feeling like i shouldent get this car, like I'm going to ruin a piece of history. Sorry dude, I didn't mean to sound like that - i'd love it you had an S100, and it's not like your putting a body kit in and a huge stereo, so it was my fault to assume, at the end of the day, it's only a car, and you'd be saving it anyway. So, go for it, and ignore all the Skoda Oldies like me!

Get it bagged i say! Fabricate new bits if you need to (easy in theory, I know). Like that car a lot. Is it still for sale BTW? The LHD orangey one?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

blownimp in da house: cal look?
Here we go again, labels/styles/looks go "blownimp" (ie your) style.....
The DP Race Tech style on that car would be.....
If in mint condition: Polished paint and chrome, seriously raked suspension, BRM 4-bolt wheels (thank god it has 4X130), sunvisor, dummy appletons, dummy lakespipes turned the wrong way (since rear engined) and maybe a roofrack (not really my style).....
If somewhat rough: Grey or Red Oxide Primer, no bumpers, slammed, Moon Discs, "Stinger Exhaust", stripped interior with 2 (or 4 if a 4door) bucket seats, rear 1/4 windows stacked with performance parts stickers and maybe some scallops in contrasting colour down the nose and sides....
If real rough: HoodRide IT!!!!!!!! (Ohhh sh*t now I did it but you guys know what I mean)

Well ok, i say cal look but the interpretation is always different. I would like steels the same diameter but wider running stock looking chrome hubcaps, lowered quite a bit, stock interior with a stereo hidden away, and a roof rack complete with ice box. I can see it as a car i can load my mates into for a trip to the beach, a nice comfy jaunt up to retro cars, tents beer and food on the roof, mates on board, cruising with a few tunes in the slow lane on the M1. mmmmmmm
At the moment i get to take one passenger (usually very scared) with no talking as the engine drowns that out, no music unless its from headphones, sweating in my plastic bucket seat, with barely enough room for a four pack of miller light! If i go for the head phones, i cant hear the impending disaster heading my way from the back of the car!
I just want it smooth tidy and generally nice. Ive got the imp for the grotty shitbox, supa fast monkey.
cheers J

Yea, I can understand the Imp doesn't make a suitable daily warrior. Sounds like this could be the solution though
