Very sad. Reminds me of that movie where the punks are stealing cars to loot them and burn them, and it's all SO very tragic.

in amongst the photos is a few strange ones, a volvo estate 4x4? I'm no volvo man and I never realised they had done a 4x4! Rotten silver estate with a 4WD badge? It's a Subaru L-series. That Renault Extra in your last post looks familiar

Sad, but interesting.
Pity they can not be sensibly collected and recycled.
Guess that is modern life.

That would be a viva ha With a servo, plastic fan and alternator??? If that indicator on the ground belongs to it, I recon it could be a Chevette?

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

These don't just seem to be individual abandoned cars, the tractor on the trailer looks like it's just been abandoned, and there seems to be a random pile of scrap axles and engines? It looks more like scrap metal fly tipping to me!

The tractor on the trailer is beside the owners peat banks (which goes back to the original purpose of the roads) but why it wasnt weighed in is another question. The viva is an hc, the tail lights were behind it And the blue van is sitting at a compound on the corner we set out on, if you had headed onto the moor from there you would have found the other stuff ;D The pile of engines and axles seemed strange, to many to be private but then its to awkward a spot to be commercial. The crofters tend to take alot of old tyres, oil drums etc out on the moor to fill bogs to allow them to get tractors across so its possibly some old fellows recovery kit The silver 4x4 was defo badged up as Volvo, did they do a 4x4?

You should get some cheap skeletons put them in one of the cars and film the reaction of the kids driving past.
Or not.

excellent pics. Works of art, infact. Ive never seen cars left to deteriorate to such an extent. Its interesting to see on some pics the steel has rotted away leaving the synthetic dashboard, seats and carpets. Maybe they will never completely rot away.
