Ferris, thankyou for the correction. I have little knowledge about these alloys and the internet has been unhelpful! Autovaz, you have PM.

Hi, Have you got any pics of the Jag front suspension? can't remember what they are like, does it look similar to the old XJ40/X300 suspension?
Cheers Sean

Sean - I do have pictures but i cannot get to the camera, much to my annoyance! I shall update as soon as i can. But it appears to be similar visually to the old style, obviously different in detail though (and with a massive anti-roll bar!).
Spitsx - What specific dims do you require, as i can measure the setup when i am next at my garage. width can be calculated from the s-type track and wheel offsets. Therefore width = Rear track (1535mm) + 2*offset (50mm) = 1635mm width. I may have got that wrong but its a quick google search! Diff condition is unknown as i have never fitted it, however it came from an s-type that had thrown a rod at 40k miles so it is in assumably good condition. Any questions ask away or call. Edd

OK cheers, I will probably have it. Memory is a bit hazy, I seem to remember that it was an evolution of the XJS and X300 (classing that as a good thing!), but the memory isn't what it used to be!
Still wouldn't mind seeing pics before I come up to Manchester to fetch it though, if you don't mind?
Cheers Sean

Edd, No problem mate. Are you about in the week at all, or would it have to be a weekend to collect?
Also, I seem to remember that these use a (very long) coil over, so wouldn't need spring compressors to get it apart for easy loading into my car?
Cheers Sean

Sean, I am around (in manchester) at random times lately, but i am sure we can work something out. The springs are pre-tensioned and locked in pretty tightly, however one of them is removed as i dissasembled one side to make it easier to store, so it should be easy to get into your car. I have a garage full of tools so dissasembling it more is'nt so much a problem. I shall have pictures on sunday, the camera had "issues" it seems and i am in york till then. Regards Edd
