What do we think of them?
I asked a mate if he had access to a van to help me collect a V8 for the MG and he turned up in a little 'sooty' van, an old 'f' plate rascal.
To be honest I was pleasantly suprised by it, nice and comfortable inside - plenty of room in the back and the V8 fitted in easily.
It was a 996cc engine so cheap tax and had a 5 speed box, we kept to a steady speed of 60mph and did about 200 miles for around £20.
What an excellent cheap practical little van ;D imho

I'd love the Suzuki version with a couple of Hayabusa engines in the back.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

This was one of my favorite cars of the summer, astonishingly fast! Also very very green, its stock apart from the decent tyres out back and the engine, they just popped the engine between the frame rails, and welded it in there, then they welded the driveshaft flange to the sprocket at hte 'box output! There was a photoshop thread on these a while back. Slammed, white, checkered roof, kind of euro look I think. Oh, and sticky out alloys.

Kei vans are ace, they do some really mad ones in Japan. You can get 660cc turbo-equipped Suzuki Carrys with diff locks and 4WD! The Daihatsu Hijet comes in all kinds of variants too, you can get loads of accessories! The Carry can come in dump truck form too - Really ace handy little vans/trucks, you can see why they're so popular over there.

They do Irish Wheelies too if you try hard enough...and with a little modding, will actually roll all the way over.

my milk man used to drive one. he used to get valve bounce as he went out of my driveway and off up the lane lol.
he was a weird bloke, he looked at my brothers cr-x which has some sticker from a road rally on it and said 'wouldnt catch me doing that'.... (he retired and the new milkman crashed the rascal into our gate) which made us laugh because a few moths ago they're was a article in a classic car mag about 'dennis thorne' a successfull 70s rally / rally cross driver and also - our ex milk man!! he had never said a thing when we spoke 2 him. he is now farming pedigree cows and restoreing a porche 911 turbo so the article said.... weird world isnt it. lol.
