penski in da house: Wouldn't you like to embarrass people with one?
Nice thought there but on the 340 here in Sweden it don't work, sorry. You guys don't seem to understand the rep of that car here in Sweden......
penski in da house: Strip one out and put the 2.3 lump in. you know you want to
Remeber back in the 80's when someone put a Chevy Big Block in one of those to go Pro Mod drag racing with it, hell of a time to find sponsors to a not so cool car so it was shortlived.....

(missed the second page BTW) Eugene!!!
Although mine was super boring to drive and boring to look at (twas that that made me rush out and buy the old xr2), but i think thats the charm of them, so notoriously curse word and boring that they make ideal cheap as chips to purchase modified retro rides. i know bikers used to hate volvos (probably still do) in general for getting in the way. in sweeden i imagine there will sill be millions everywhere, full of old folk etc so i can see the man point!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Part of things
Volvos, they're boxy, but good.

I guess you guys are more openminded than us Swedes, personaly I have only owned two Volvos, one 63 Amazon as my second car and one 1980 242 GT with a Chevy 350/350 combo and have no real craving for another....

You guys don't seem to understand the rep of that car here in Sweden...... It's exactly because of the reputation that I would do it. Driving around in a car that people hate and think is slow whilst being able to outdrag a lot of them? It certainly appeals to me. *n

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

R-R Interview? Sounds like Great Britains favourite geek is a lot cooler than I first thought.

[ you must have some similar car/fenomen in the UK, cars that are driven by no one under the age of 60, people who can't see the diffrence on a moped or motorcycle and don't really give a damn about it. I have paid road tax and because of that I own the road and drive like it pleases meyeah, they drive BMW's over here!! Sorry Nick! ;D DP - i know what you mean about being on 2 wheels though, and it does give you a different outlook to other people. personally, I'm liking that volvo tho!!

haha a retroride interview of eugene would be funny, and yeh he is really as big as geek as he came across. his wierd geeky mates he brought along to santapod were very scary though.
duno how he landed the job at jtuner but at santapod he was also recording a thing for radio aswell. forgot what station it was. if i had some flyers for here i should have given him one, reckon he'd like this place.
