I think I'll say see you next month as well - I'm knackered having got virtually no sleep last night and it looks like I could end up being Billy No Mates if I did go, so I'm going to get an early night instead. Got an important client coming to the office tomorrow and would probably be better if I didn't fall asleep on them.

There's actually hardly been any snow in Norwich - just a light sprinkling late morning which was completely gone from the roads by mid afternoon. We've certainly not seen any of the "chaos" the news has been promising us, and any mishaps have been due to people driving like idiots rather than any particularly severe meteorological conditions. I think down south got it a bit worse though.

The closest thing to roadworthy RWD funness I've got at the moment is the Townace, which is comically / dangerously rubbish in the snow (depending on traffic conditions and whether you're actually trying to get anywhere) in RWD but unexpectedly good in 4x4. I've mostly been using my 104 though - light weight, small engine and 135-section tyres make it brilliant on slippery roads, although the heater is mediocre.

I think most central and northern European countries cope better with snow than we do - it's not exactly hard. I've been wondering how much of the daft behaviour I've been witnessing on the roads has been due to the media over-hyping the situation - if the Daily Mail ran a cover story that said "fresh snow actually provides a surprisingly high level of grip and you'd have to be driving like a bit of a muppet to lose control of your car - just take it steady and get on with it" rather than "OMG SNOW!!!!!!111 Stay at home unless you are in a life or death situation!!!", drivers would be more relaxed and therefore less likely to panic and do stupid things leading to crashes.

Do German roads get cleared properly or have you been able to enjoy some sideways fun in the MX5?

Sorry to crash this thread guys, but I would like some local advice.

I am organising the 2010 Cars on the Green show for Bury Retro Ford and we are looking to have a traders section for the first time.

As it is the first year for traders we will be offering a very cheap introductory rate to have a pitch.

Have any of you got any suggestions for traders that might be interested in attending?

We will also be having an autojumble section as well.
