OK, SUnday I did my best to get sunburn. Wandering round Shakey doing quick-lens-changes and all that. Sadly I left with the feeling like I was at someone elses party and they were having all the fun. Something to do with going in the (working) Lexus I guess.
Considering the absolute excellent weather I was surprised the turnout wasn't better. Recession woes? Dunno. Attendance was about the same as last year and it rained most of the day then. It always clashes with the Billing Fun Run so its not that either.
Go figure.
Plenty of awesome rides and plenty of track time for those who were there .
So now its full steam ahead. I will be attending next year in the Fury. FO SHO!
Now enjoy some pics.
F bodies FTW. I  gen2
Pontiac being my favourite flavour
Cute Minor van
The first of many, many Mopars at this event. If you don't dig Mopes you are in the wrong thread.
Same goes for Pops really
I saw this Biscayne wagon advertised and thought, slam that on big inch Americans and you have a cool ride. Seems like someone else got the same idea
No words needed for the '68 Camaro.
Is this Richard Nicols' old Stang.
Lovely Victoria may have been at the "wrong" event if you see what I mean but I was glad of it. Lovely.

But I chose not to.
See what I mean about Mopar content? LOL

Cool old style T. I need to learn how to use the clone tool. Or indeed Photoshop in general.
El Camino. Thats like the Cadillac of cars.
Fast lady
I just don't dig the lettering on this one. Everything else is so right though
Yawn, another immaculate modified Dodge.
When they get this big I don't usually bother with the metric translation. 8.4 litres I think?
and a 6 speed to back it up
Now this '66 Fury got me. I will even be wearing a straw cowboy hat with mine from now on.
Not so many Gassers out as last time. Quality rather than quantity but I miss the circus.
Love that car. Anyway next up is what I take to be an Aussie Ford Fairlane
LHD converted for weight transfer reasons.
100E had a mini-gasser thing going on.
Blown Rover Mk2 Cortina was A-C-E. But a non-runner.

V8 100E with Jag IRS
Someone having old school fun
In the weeds, or at least in the long grass...
Victor estate has been done a while.
Nice little touches make the difference.
Petty inspired rather than clone I think. Great stuff.
Now this Coronet has just the right patina for me. Not overdone with non-cop dog dishes either. Spot on.
Pro touring or faux touring?
Rear drum brakes suggest the latter... Lovely lovely car though.
So red it would make McCarthy spit!
Kinda like returning to the womb. Fantastic
Dodge Daytona, no not the pickup one. Mopar's forgotten FWD performance cars. Well, the Shelby ones are...
I'd like to say this ran a big block, but sadly I suspect the 1.4 is more like it
Gotta love a Buick
If the van's a-rocking don't come a-knockin'
Awesome Sunbeam has its own thread
And a few more of the Viva
So much OOOOF here I'm at a loss to describe it all
Rover powered Morris Z was a fave of mine
Another Toyota. Another V8.
MASCAR, apparently. Google it.
Hey Crabman, Hey Earl...
Oh, now this Buick was a wonderful sight.
Delicious!
This Plymouth (or is it a Chrysler???) is ticking a bunch of my boxes!
This is (or was) up for sale. I think the same folks were crewing it this year as last?
No idea. I bet you like it though.
Yet another Charger with a huge engine. 9.something litres?
Cobra rep with a scoop. Big wow.
Oh, actually BIG WOW! 426 Hemi powered!
A big red bouncy castle. Plus some inflatable thing for the kids
Moving towards some action shots.

Go-go-go-go-GTO!
I don't so much think that every street car should have a parachute so much that every street car should need one!

Essential Health & Safety wear - ear defenders or a straw hat?
Its that, oh, nevermind...

Vanishing Point. Nothing to do with Stain Removal

certificated as the real thing. Check the rubber build up behind the rear arches. Thats how to treat a rare and valuable classic.
STAT!
curse word photo, great car. This is exactly what I promiced myself when I was about 12 years old.
'71-'73 mustangs look weirdly "right" on hubcaps. Wonder why that is?
Gets my Goat...
And finally a car which fixes itself. I could put up with the homicidal rage & revenge killings from a car which fixes itself.
