Just a couple of pics on my Cav. I have had it since last October, I bought it from ebay for £970 and used it every since. In the time I have had it I have changed a few things. I have added: Manta GT/E interior and clocks, 40mm lowering springs, 3" S/S exhaust, K+N filter, Spax gas adjustable shocks, 15"x7" ATS alloys. It has only 41000 miles on the clock from new which is fully documented. I found out the other day that it has a big valve head on it from factory which means it has a 1.9 block with a 2.0S head on it. Thanks for looking. Ta, Deano.

Really nice looking cav mate. I love the coupe shape, these must be rare as poor quality wobbly children's play pony stuff.
Those wheels set it of very well. Red top conversion ??

That's pretty perfect just as it is, very cool Just needs lowering a bit and the plate putting in the middle imho. Fantastic car though,i dreamed of having one of these when i had my first car,a 77 1600 cav saloon. I remember reading a Bill Blydenstein write up in fast car saying the best heads for these were from a 2.0 bedford van as they flowed the best due to a lower port floor.

Absolutely loving this - the epitome of 70's suburban euro chic Any plans for something naughty (XE?) under the bonnet?

Thanks for the comments guys. At the mo I am keeping it standard under the bonnet but I am tempted to stick a V8 into in the future. Suffolk county Manta's do a lot of the V8 conversions but sadly it is too far for me to travel as I live near Edinburgh. It has been lowered 40mm so I do not really want to go any lower as we have plenty of speedbumps round here and high kerbs. I know a lot of people go the xe route but this results in the 1.8 Manta's being raped of their gearbox which is a shame so I think V8 for me more than likely a Rover one as these are more plentiful. Ta, Deano.

An absolutely lovely motor. Has it ever been touched with the metal sticking stick - can't believe a late 70's Vauxhall is in that condition!
