I hope you are also going to make some uprated hubs with heavy duty wheel bearings to handle that offset ;D ;D
Looks awsome that. How about cost. What did you use for the rim?

heh yep its on me list The rims came from a guy who races miglias. i got 4 4"ers and 5 3"ers for about £100. They have been used so a bit rough round the edges but solid and straight. The material for the centres came from a guy i know who works in a foundry. He did me 5 blanks in exchange for reboring his mini engine. The wheel nuts cost £42, the rim bolts cost about £30 and ive got some flush fit valves which cost £15 so overall under £200 and a few nights work

Yeh the bearing issue is a little worrying but I'm building this car for show first driving second. The beuty of these wheels is all i need to do is swap the 4inch rims onto the inside and it goes back to original offset. (Its only an inch further out than normal). I will probalby leave them as they are for a couple of seasons then swap em round fit my 1430 motor and vented discs and go sprinting or something (if i don't sell it first ). tyre wise i have 165 dunlop sports to stretch on but I'm looking out for some semi slicks tbh I'm fed up of building sensible driving cars i want this one to show up how utterly narrow minded and boring most minis are nowerdays. Ive got 2 escorts on the go which will more than satsify my need for speed.

Thats just brilliant!
I think you need some of them pointy centre caps (but about 3" in this case) to finish it off

tyre wise i have 165 dunlop sports to stretch on but I'm looking out for some semi slicks oooo the stretched look loving it....love it when you look head on and you can see the rim sticking out from the tire sidewall, My GTM is like that 6 inch wide rims with 165 tires at the min, nice and stiff sidewalls super handling, probaly soon be changing the tires as i need wider tires i think with the planned mods and power,,,lol 165s struggle with 140 hp at the min keep up the good woork WEST

Although i currently have 2 sort of compromise cars, the next will be mental, i promise. ;D keep up the good work

They look amazing !! It is nice to see something different on a Mini as well I bet the load on the bearings wouldn`t be a lot worse than with the deep dish 13 x 8 Superlights you seem to see on every other Mini these days

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Thought about holes for cooling but its alot of work to put anything other than circular holes in them (which i don't think id relly like) Theres not relly much space there for holes in the first place They weigh less than normal 10x5 minilights so I'm happy They are 10x7" btw
