So as you know I have bought a new Firenza , the plan is to fit a 2.0ltr turbo lump like my black one had before the v8. I want to get the car as light as possible by removing any metal that is not needed fitting plastic windows and hopefully fiberglass doors, bonnet and boot . It will have a small race dash roll cage and 2 seats inside thats all, possibly some banded Rostyle wheels 7 or 8 "wide the plan is to paint it bright yellow with a black bonnet . First thing first removing all the rust that vauxhall built into the car . I Will try to keep you all updated as it gets on this is as it was when I bought it My home built car body roller rear floor and sill off side ] sill near side wheel well battery tray inner wing and chassey rail gearbox mounts work done so far stripped the near side inner wing cut out and replaced with a second hand item chassy cut out and replaced new gearbox mounts I will keep you all updated as it progresses

Thanks for the comments, I'm hoping for it to be back on the road for next spring if it all goes OK , i have also sourced a LSD scimitar axle I think it should take the power OK . found some more holes in the shock mounts both sides, Did vauxhall deliberately build in rust?

My new wheels picked up last night , they will need redrilling to the scimmiter axle and the vauxhall fronts but should look good with a refurb 8x13 and 5x13 will probably fit 205/50/13 to the back rims and 165/50/13 to the front

Inspirational work Ade (as usual). I reckon the Scimitar axle is a good choice especially with the Jag Powerlok installed. Fitted one by myself to the Magnum and ached for a week afterwards. ;D They weigh a ton but are apparently very strong.
I'll be following this.Keep it up!

ace work. love these vivas that car roller is ace, bet theres an art to getting the car on it. Yes there is an art but luckily i built a sliding engine hoist in the roof off my garage a few years ago so i can winch the front and back off the floor and then push the frame underneath
