look at the edges around the handles and windows, looks as though the rust had been added and cut out to show the handles? the rust texture doesn't seem to have the right depth I think that effect is because the paint has been taken off with a sander on the main surfaces but left in the more tricky to get into areas leaving a nice sharp line between the painted and rusted areas. edit - beaten to it I see ;D

His photos always have a 'fake' look to them to be honest.

His photos always have a 'fake' look to them to be honest. In a good way. Not only does he build very cool cars, he also knows how to light a shot. When we have an RR Hall of Fame, I'm voting Mike Burroughs in for services to the scene.

Is that real rust or paint?
I always wondered how long a real "rat"-car lasts with all the open rust. Won't that start to show holes within a couple of years?

Hmm... I liked it LOADS before the rust but hey it's still cool even if it's trying a little too hard... I think he's just tweaked the levels in PS which has given it a "shopped" feel. If you look on the rear bumper you can see the runs of rust down the plastic. LOVE that 6-Series! Looks intensely evil. A kitten would just keel over and die if it looked at it. Superb!

Love that 6,that is absolute perfection on the RS'.
I kinda like the e28,it's not to my taste and I wouldn't have done it normally, but I do "get" why he's done it.Bit OTT,but it's a good send off to an iconic car.

The 6 series is AWEsome! Not so keen on the latest E28 re-incarnation, but it looked fantastic before I'd still drive it for the shock value though

I loved it when just thr bonnet was ratted, although it had every cliche going, and I liked it how it was to begin with. But I can't say I'm a fan of it now, the rust looks too fake, cars don't rust like that.

I'd imagine that's kinda the point tho,bit of a tongue in cheek take on the whole scene! Besides,it's done it's job,we're all talking about it,which is a fitting tribute to the end of an epic car!

Well, I guess I'm not "With it"!! But I don't get it. Before making it look orange it looked absolutely gorgeous! I think the 6 series is stunning and that's the way I like a car to look! If it can be. If not, then don't try too hard. Rant over
