I've watched this unfold onthe MG owners site. An awesome build.
Plus I understand the cc on the log book won't need changing!

I heard that! Pardon?

Thanks guys, I'll get some more pictures up later. The engine capacity is 2cc less than the B series, I have changed the CC and number with DVLA no problems, it is 73 registered, but I have a 72 manufacture certificate, so I'm expecting problems with them and the free road tax....

I honestly thought the black top was 1798 with the silver top 1796...
Or have I mixed up the Duratec in that?

You shouldn't have any problems with the DVLA if you have manufacturer's confirmation of a '72 build, Heritage Certificate etc. My white Imp is '73 registered but a previous owner was able to supply proof of a '72 build, no problem with the DVLA. Seriously good looking B by the way.

Looks nice. I can remember a Cosworth Roadster being built at huge expense a few years ago and the guy saying that doing the job cost thousands and wasn't a home built job! Now we've got Nissan and Ford engines going in in peoples garages!! I love this site. How long till its finished?

Hopefully it'll be done in the next couple of months, just got the doors bonnet and boot to paint and fit, then I can get on with the final assembly, all the mechanicals are done. That Cosworth roadster is awesome, and was for sale on eBay again a few weeks ago, it was partly responsible for me doing this one....
