To help organise, here's a separate thread. I propose a SE convoy based along the M3 & A303 How about, aiming to arrive mid to late afternoon: Fleet Services (M3) - 1:30-1:45pm Popham Services (A303) - 2:30-2:45pm Solstice Service Area (A303) - 3:30-3:45pm Haynes Museum RRG - 4:30pm (ish) People could meet at these places from London, Reading, Swindon, Southampton, Portsmouth etc etc  |

I might be up for this, the Camper isn't the fastest ride so I don't want to slow others down, but a convoy would be cool ;D

Our ferry gets us into Dover at about 11:00.
Don´t see why we can´t be at Fleet services for 13:30 ...
....so the European Convoy meets the SE convoy and off we go! ;D

I really like the idea of a big convoy of retro's. The last time I was in a large convoy of cars was in Cornwall at the time of all the free parties. It's a wicked feeling - I want in!! I still don't know if I will be having the time off work though  Oldbus - how quick do you reckon tickets will sell out? Is there a cut off point? |

I'll be going on Friday so i can join this at Fleet, i'll be in the Range Rover so i'll chuck the A frame in it in case anyone needs some assistance getting there (provinding nothing falls off mine of course) Now just need to decide what colour to paint it, its to boring as it is. |

Having been stuck in traffic several times round here over the last couple of weeks (i live right on top of J28 on the M25) i would advise that people seriously avoid the M25 between J28 and about J26 on friday if they can, the road works are causing very slow traffic even at off peak times so if you must go that way leave an extra hour just in case, it took me over half an hour to get from J28 to J27 last friday lunchtime.

just get those little walkie talkies that go for around 30 notes a pair they all work on the same frequencies and can reach quite a range great for keeping in touch on the road and then your kids can have them after...

but i already have a free CB that wont need batteries and will have much better range and the added benefit of being able to to talk to trucks about traffic.
